For those who fly out of Dallas...prices for October/November are $99 each way to Vegas and a few other select cities. Get 'em before they're gone!

PS - the beauty of that is the expiration of the Wright Amendment beginning 10/01/14. SW will fly non-stops to Vegas out of Dallas for the first time ever!

Seems like forever from now, but the flights are booked, so it counts!

Central Texas here and just re-booked out of Austin to out of Dallas. Non-stop both ways at reasonable times and saved a bundle of points....Thanks for the head's up....Also there is a Thrifty Car Rental lot that (last time we flew out of Dallas) was 5.50 $ a day and even if it went up is still a steal.

    Thanks again....

I wonder if this sale has anything to do with Southwest losing the gates at Love field to Virgin America.

hammie... it was American that lost the gates - it was a deal struck to allow the merger with USAir to go through.

I'm pretty sure it has everything to do with the end of the Wright Amendment and nothing to do with Virgin

Yes, I wasn't clear in my post. The gates were forfeited by American and Southwest wanted them badly, but Virgin got them.

Either way, $99 is a great deal. I like SWA, but their fares have crept up out of Philly and they are rarely the best deal.
