Thanks Westie! I'll be there shortly for a mid-week stay and will surely use this to my advantage.

Doesn't sound to be too great of a deal. One would have to put $300 through the slots to get a free meal? If I were staying there, that would be easy....but not worth a special trip for sure.

We'll be stopping in at Southpoint to see one of Bob Dancer's seminars later this month. It appears that slot points are $1 = 1 point. Is it the same for video poker?

Just did this yesterday and will do it again today. VP is $1 = 1 point as well. Found some 9/6 DDB machines and got killed on them.

Thanks Smo for the update...heading over there today for Dancer's seminar so maybe we'll hit the buffet while there.

I don't consider South Point's buffet worth any play at all. Sub-standard by any measure, especially compared to its nearest competitor, M Resort.

Their buffet was surprisingly good! I'm not a buffet guy, but ate there 4 times. :evillaugh
Prime rib was tender and juicy, breakfast omlettes were very tasty, food was fresh, and the servers were very attentive. If you had to pay for the buffet, they give you a 50% off coupon when you check-in. Well worth it for that price!
