Hi Gang...I have never stayed at the Plaza but before I do,I have some questions I hope someone or someones can help me with. First,I don't care about a pool or the restaurants or shows,I go to Vegas to drink (not to inebriation) and gamble. So,with that in mind, what I want to know is:

1} Are King Rooms nice and what tower is better in your opinions? I like the FSE noise and happenings

    2}Are there $5 craps & Blackjack tables available 24/7

3}Do they have a craps machine?

4}My gambling budget is $500/day and I will stay 4 or 5 days. Is that amount worth any comps?

I don't chase comps but if I receive any that would be great. I play mostly ddvp,bj,and craps with some slots thrown in.

Thank You in advance for any help you can give.

Well it depends on what you drink if you are looking for free drinks when gambling..if it well drinks with just one type of liquor in it (like a screwdriver) then you should be fine. They have 2 craps tables there-one regular craps with 10x odds and one crapless craps table with 2x odds and is only open in the evening. As of December 23rd there was no bubble craps at the plaza.

As for comps I don't know although I stopped in and spent a few $100 about once a month from june to december. I tried to look at my offers but it says I don't exist (it did work for a few months)

there is $5 BJ pretty much 24/7 except if there is a huge event such as super Bowl or March Madness. However, the $5 BJ is limited to 6 deck. If you want DD, you'll have a higher min. But, right up Main Street is the Main Street Station which always has $5 DD and 20X odds on craps. Comps seem to vary from month to month, depending upon some mystery formula from up high. King rooms are nice. I've stayed in both towers and don't really have a personal preference. the north tower is the one right on Fremont. Lately, it seems as though the Plaza is working a little harder to get gamblers there.

Hi, TheMadCows like you we don't travel to Vegas to eat, watch shows or sit around a pool.
We like the Plaza & stay regularly, so maybe we are biased.
We chose the strip view rooms, quieter at night. Table games can be a little quite early mornings, No idea about Craps, sorry
As for comps I have to agree with DickTater

I have stayed in both towers recently, and there were no real differences in the rooms. I didn't hear noise from FSE in either location. One of my trips was in the summer, and $5 tables were available at all times. The other trip was during March Madness, and $5 BJ was not available. As far as getting comped, my summer trip was comped due to previous BJ($5-20)and UTH($5) play and March Madness was not comped due to higher demand for rooms.

Cocktail service has always been excellent at the tables. I am a beer drinker so can't comment on liquor quality served. Don't know about service at slots, VP machines. I don't remember them having bubble craps, but my last visit was almost a year ago.

Thanks for the replies! I am a beer drinker as well and not worried about getting beer.I always have beer in my room wether I have a fridge or have to buy a styrofoam cooler. Lately I just line a garbage can with plastic and go to the ice machine, then set the garbage can on a towel. Works just as good as a cooler.

I was more interested in what kind of comps,if any,I might expect with a $500 daily bankroll.

madcows... if you do most (if not all) of your play at the Plaza, you should be OK in terms of receiving offers in the future with $500/ daily play - typically, 3 or 4 nights, no resort fee....no food or free-play.
At least that's how they've comped me in the past, and my play there was very similar.
Now, you may have to see a host to be sure your table play gets credited, but they may have fixed that problem by now.

As a blackjack player, a $500 daily bankroll should give you quite a bit of play (at $5 or $10). If you are or are close to being a good 'basic strategy' player, at $10/hand flat-betting, you will give up about $10 an hour on average (including $2 in tips per hour to the CW). 500/$10 = 50+ hours of play... unless really bad variance bites you, you ought to be able to easily play there all day betting $10/hand... at least, that's how the math works out, assuming a 6-deck 3:2 game with DAS.

Finally have the room booked! Look for me Feb 21-23

Madcows, we have a plaza host that regularly checks our board here. Her name is

Yolla Alsabagh | Player Development Executive
    The Plaza Hotel & Casino
One Main Street | Las Vegas, NV 89101
    o: 702.386.2210 | C: 702.994.6070

so you can pm her here or just call her to find out what your play will rate. Maybe she could even give you some discounted rooms or comped rooms if you describe your play to her. No guarantees but at least you can check with a host before you get there.

I don't remember the Plaza having a craps machine.

If you like the sportsbook or valet a car the south tower is more convenient to those, if you want to go from your room to the FSE it is closer in the north tower. Have a great trip
