Have been to Laughlin a few times but never stayed at Harrahs. Going on a friday and sat night. Have the basic deluxe room in the family tower, maybe we should try for an upgrade to the Adult Tower? Read mixed reviews on the rooms there, getting the room dirt cheap thru Total Rewards card so willing to spend a few more bucks if we need to.

    Hi Jersey
Laughlin can be fun, Our highlights, Trop, Riverside, Colorado bell, G.N. & Love to play craps @Pioneer (yes sawdust on the floor, kind of Joint)
Friendly dealers & 50% more laid back vs Las Vegas & DB free, a lot of Camper toting retirees in the Adjacent RV parks.

Harrah's Laughlin, can be pigeon hole-y, hard to get in & out & (to the other casinos, not walkable) @end of the Laughlin strip.
To get to the other casinos, walk all the way down to the river & take the water taxi, still think they have day passes,
    or get a rent-a-car @bullhead city Airport.

Last trip a few years ago, (Airline Junket + Room) No room safe (pain, to protect your goodies & did not stay in a suite)
& 2 weeks before we got there, Harrahs whole A/C system wend down in the middle of the summer.

    Dining Highlights:
Trop-Steak house Lobster special, Yummy jumbo shrimp cocktail.
G.N.-Salt grass Steakhouse, (serving Shiner Bock)
Riverside-for their Amazing foot long Chilidog & crispy fries (not sure if there still cooking them up)

tell us how your trip went
    enjoy

Try for the upgrade to the adult tower. The kids otherwise are outta control, especially on the weekends when everyone from Calexico comes up to stay. If you're a night owl, and don't get to bed until 2am, you should be fine with the regular tower.

Harrah's is at the top of the hill in Laughlin, so hope you have a car, or pay for the water taxis to get you down river to where all the action is.
I did the walk from the river walk all the way up the hill to Harrah's in July. NEVER AGAIN!!!!!!!

It's a fun casino. If you love chicken fried steak, the Beach Cafe there has an excellent and tender one for breakfast or dinner.

Thanks you guys we'll have a car, spending two nights in the Rio,two in Laughlin, then three more at Rio before flying home. I've stayed in Laughlin 3 or 4 times at other places,so I kinda know my way around there.
One thing I'd like to do is take that high speed boat down river to Lake Havasu. Been there once by car.
Maybe I'll call a host out there and see if they can upgrade us since we go to Harrahs AC constantly.

agree to go to the adult tower-----would also request a river -view room------they have a very nice diamond club with outside seating if you are a diamond member-----unlike ac but like vegas there are no points taken off your acct for access for yourself and 1 guest----if a diamond member you have a good chance of requesting a room upgrade at no charge when checking in at the special line for diamond card holders----
