My girl friends are having a reonion at Vegas and we are planning our trip with these hotel choices:
    Cosmopolitan
    Vdara/Aria
    Wynn
    Venetian
    Bellagio
    Paris
    Planet Hollywood
    New York New York

Personally, I like Mandalay Bay but the other girls like to try one of these hotels. Please let me know which one you like the best and why so that I can make my decision and move on to the next trip planning.:rolleyes2:

    Welcome to VMB.
I haven't stayed in any of the places you listed but I noticed you probably have a wide gap in cost.
    Is price an issue?

Are you a group of young girls? (sorry for asking) If yes, I would go with the Cosmo. Best place for the younger crowd if you like clubs, etc. If you are not part of the young crowd, then I would go with Bellagio or Aria for center strip location (also very nice hotels).

If you don't mind being on the north end of the strip, I would go with Wynn/Encore. This is my favorite hotel in Vegas. IMO, it is the nicest also.

Like TY said, there is a large variation in price on your list of hotels.

    Cosmo for the 20-40 crowd.

Wynn/Encore for those who recognize a Patek when they see one.

Mirage has a lot to offer for a group of friends who just want to have a good time. Great location & mice pool. Be sure & make one of the rooms a real suite with a view, so you can gather & celebrate.

Oops......in fairness to the Mirage, I have never seen any mice in their pool.

    Try the word, NICE.

With the limited info you've given us, I'd echo Riddick Bull's advice. Cosmo is great. Even a late 30's, non-clubber like me really digs that place. But I don't know if I could spend a whole trip there. But if you're looking to go to the clubs/pool parties and be around a bunch of twenty-somethings it's the place to be.

If you're a little older or don't want the whole party-all-the-time vibe, I'd go with Aria or Wynn. I don't think any place in Vegas can top Wynn/Encore and it's my choice almost every trip. But, as mentioned, the location is not as central as the others on your list and it is pricey (though so are a few others you're considering). Aria, I feel, is the nicest hotel/casino in the central part of the strip and has some great bars and restaurants.

Bellagio is a great choice too. But I feel the employees can be rude and aloof at times. And with all its free attractions (conservatory, fountains, Chihuey ceiling etc.) the place can get crowded with gawkers.

(If you can give us more info about what will be important to you, what types of things you'll be doing, where you'll be eating, how much does price matter, etc., you'll probably get much better advice.)

It would help to know what you and your friends' interests are and whether money is a factor. But if you're simply asking which hotel I like the most from that list, its the Wynn, Great rooms, tons of quality food options, fun pool, good sportsbook, good gambling, high end shopping in the property and lower end shopping across the street at the mall. Just a very pretty, relaxing hotel
