Out of all my trips to Vegas, I have never done a day club/ beach club. I really don't have a major reason for why. I guess maybe the crowds but I've done the night club scene so that's not really a good reason.

so I'll be in Vegas July 4th-14th and have to try a beach club at least once. I need like a full run down since I am completely new to this.

1.) What's a good day club for a rookie? I'll be staying at Treasurr island and harrahs so distance doesn't really matter much. I was leaning checking out that drais beach club though.

2.) What's the dress code? I have a beer gut lol so not trying to walk around shirtless. Can I just wear a tank top and board shorts with flip flops? Are you allowed to wear hats at all(snap backs, fitted caps).

3.) What's the price? This is a solo trip so not interested in doing a cabana or anything like that. Just wanted to know the general price for general admission.

4.) Can you have fun solo? Iwas basically planning to just people watch, listen to the music, and relax. Maybe it isn't as fun without a group of people with you?

5.) Anywhere to sit if I don't have a cabana? I can swim sure but don't even really plan on going in the pool since my phone and wallett will be in my pocket. Anyway I can just enjoy my drink and chill back?

6.) What's the vibe like? Are they super crowded and do people even really swim or anything. Just need a general run down on what the pool scene is like.

7.) So is it best to walk to my pool club of choice or take a cab? I've never seen anyone walking around the strip soaking wet before. Are they just taking the cab around or what?

8.) Anyone know anything about the sapphire pool? That pool seems way more my scene but not sure if sapphire picks you up or not.

Any help is appreciated. Hate to ask questions like this. I look like a real vegas noobie right about now

I have gone solo and with groups and you'll have no problems.

1- Personal likes in order Encore Beach club, Wet Republic then Marquee Day Club. Like Encore the best due to lay out and service. I like Wet Republic 2nd due to being able to get on their guest list through their website for free entry, Marquee is good but lay out is cramped for me. I've done Liquid twice but to small. Drais is a solid option from what I have read. Unfortunately if you don't buy a cabana, lily pad, etc you are SOL pretty much unless you hook into a group.

2- Board shorts and t-shirt or polo shirt with flip flops is what I have done. Snap backs I have gotten in with but it depends on who is running the show as others have told me they weren't able to. You can keep the shirt on as there is no rule you have to take it off.

3- Price varies depending on who the dj is. Need to go to their webpage. I have always done pre sale tix for the pools.

4- Definitely can as long as you have a personality. It is what you make of it.

    5- See #1

6- Dance club vibe in a pool setting with less clothes

7- Cab primarily. People do jump in the pool but personally not my thing.

    8- No clue

9*** Other pool options more low key not as "beach club" high end: GO Pool at Flamingo since you are staying at Harrahs. Monte Carlo but I believe there is a cover for non guests.

Go to EBC and Marquee's websites to do the virtual tours so they give you an idea of the layout, etc.

    Hope this helps.

    1. I also love Encore Beach Club and Wet Republic. I've never been to Drai's but I really want to check it out.

    2. Tank top and board shorts is fine. Depends on the club and who's doing security if they'll let you in with a hat or not.

    3. Also depends on the club. Nothing for girls a lot of the time when they're on guestlist. Guys, depends on the DJ. Last time I was at Encore it was $55. However, when Calvin Harris was there during EDC 2012, it was $100 for guys.

    4. You can, but I'd really recommend going in a group. Unless you have a super outgoing personality, it might be hard to make friends as guy. If you don't, you'll just be sitting there drinking and lounging by yourself. And that can be accomplished as just as well at a regular pool. Only they don't have a DJ.

    5. I sometimes sit on planter edges or dangle my feet in the pools while I sit on the edge. If you look for places to sit and aren't picky, you'll find them. Just no chairs, etc.

    6. The vibe is pretty awesome. Everyone's just excited for the DJ and are very friendly and drunk. You'll like it as long as you're social.

    7. In the past I've both walked and/or taken a cab no problem. But then I don't go into the pool with my cover-up on, or dunk my head in. So up to you.

    8. No idea on sapphire - I'm a chick.

Are you talking about the Flamingo pool for the bold part?

What I am wondering is if anyone can get on the WET guest-list and does it ALWAYS mean free cover and guaranteed entry?

I have done Rehab solo. Was fun, but you get sick of just standing around in the sun after a while if you have no cabana or day bed.

I will be checking out the Sapphire dayclub next month.:wink2:

there are so many pool parties now it is unreal. Monte Carlo, Golden nugget and Flamingo are good spots if your not looking to wait and be crowded all day, but go early, and might take some bribing as well. EBC, Wet Republic, Liquid, Daylight,Tao Beach, Marquee,Drais, Rehab and palms pools you pretty much have to spend to get a spot.Depending on where you stay you can get credits from casino/hotel but most daybeds start at 250 but average is 500-750. Sapphire is a good option so is bare and some other pools downtown. The biggest thing is what are you going for?if you want to see young beautiful women running around, your spending money, if you are going to work on your tan, every casino has a pool. Almost all the pools entry starts at $30 but with busy weekends ahead those numbers will get closer to $50 and the wait in line factor. Almost all the pools you have to wear swim trunks in, they will not let you go in cargo shorts and other shorts they do not deem swim worthy, so remember that in your quest.

Done it 3 times with no prob. Recommend you get their early as there will be a line. Only guarantees are pre sale tix by the time designated on it or cabana, etc. Money buys guarantees, everything else a risk is taken with odds of a long ass wait on a line.

Link to get on the list. Pick your dates based on what they have available and give them your info:
