I think I book my trips too early, and then I get bored with what I have booked - and want to start changing things around.

I currently have 3 nights at the Bellagio, one night at CP and the last night at the Mirage. So now I'm thinking of switching CP to either the Aria or the MGM Grand - getting a really nice suite and using express comps to pay for it. Maybe even double booking my third night at Bellagio so when I check out of there - I'm already checked in somewhere else.

So, does anyone else do this kind of stuff, or am I just a freak :).

Well, in September I did the following for a trip with hotel nights from Sat Thurs.

Stage 1: Flamingo all six nights

Stage 2: South Point first night, Flamingo five others

Stage 3: South point first night, Ballys five others

Stage 4: South Point first night, Bally's three nights, Caesars two nights.

And the trip I just got back from went from Paris 2 nights then Nugget, to Paris 2 nights then Luxor thanks to the myvegas game.

So you aren't the only freak :wink2: And its definitely worse the earlier you start planning.

I'm very decisive. So is my husband. If we're being indecisive, it's a big red flag to us. However, Vegas is different. It's like being a kid in a candy store!

I do it pretty much every trip. The other day I decided that I really should go a day earlier than originally planned, so I scrambled to change flights and then I had to back up a room comp by a day. It worked because I was double booked for my middle day already.

I think I tend to be financially conservative when I originally book, but when the trip gets closer I get excited and just go for it! Oh, and I decided to fly first class on this trip. I may have actually lost my mind this time!!

I always book early and then am constantly looking for a better deal. Last trip I switched reservations three times.

My friends and I will plan for months, come up with a ton of things we want to do, and then usually throw that out the window minutes after arrival and then do nothing but dramble the whole stay.

    S'fun.

If you saw my reservation history on the TOTAL REWARDS site you would think I am insane. I switch, cancel, rebook, repeat!!

At least it is just hotels...:wink2: I keep changing my mind about airport and flights...haven't seen a good sale in the past 10 days or I would have changed those. I rethink hotels constantly.

Remember all the hotel threads I started last year? The first version of my trip had me going in May and staying at the GN and IP. After dozens of changes, the last version I booked had me going in August and staying at the D and Bill's. We stayed at the D in August; however, when we arrived at Bill's we were notified that we had been moved to...guess where? The IP, where we had booked the first time! They did put us in the Penthouse Suite, so it was worth it.

Nope :) I'm locked in to the Rio because I purchased a package through Allegiant. Now I'm thinking I'm going to check Hotel Tonight when we're there in case there's a screaming deal one night! If I was comped anywhere, it would be way worse.

At the moment I'm trying to decide whether to buy the Groupon for Kahunaville. I've never been there and $26 sounds pretty good for 2 dinners.

I do it all the time. Am influenced by price changes, whether or not I'm on a fitness kick (proximity to gyms and healthy dining), whatever shows I end up booking for, or downtown vs. strip mood. It's kind of like doing a crossword puzzle or playing a video game. Sort of exciting, and keeps the time interesting while you wait for the trip.

We changed our December TI rezzie three times. And then ended up cancelling totally. Change is the new constant.
