can anyone tell me if playing the $1 wheel of fortune
will earn less express comps than if I played say a
    triple diamond $1 slot machine?

is the wheel of fortune considered a speciality machine?

when i was there in may, i mainly played wof
(where i normally play other slots without bonus, etc)

i spent the same amount of $$$ that i normally do,
but made ALOT less in the express comps.

I don't know if WOF is a specialty slot or not. however, back in Oct 2012 they reduced the EC earning by 66% i.e. you earn 1/3 as many ECs as you used to. so that's likely the reason you made so much less.

At MGM I would think WOF could be a speciality machines as they probably split money with owners of machine/franchise.

    Just my guess.

I played a WOF slot at Monte Carlo where they specifically had a sign that said it was a specialty slot. It was a $1.
