    Hi, new to the board. My name is John, from Limerick in the south of Ireland. Visited Vegas twice so far for very different experiences... once with the guys a few years back when I was single, once with a girlfriend :) I will refrain from saying which was more enjoyable :)

    Returning 16th March for Trip number 3 with the guys! Just over 3 weeks to go and counting every second until I get on the plane! Can't wait! :thumbsup:

    The guys I'm going with are not really gamblers, but we all like a bit of a party & a couple beers... helpful that our trip is over St.Patrick's Day.
    Staying in The Platinum, was the only one that had the right room config & didn't break the bank! Look forward to getting a TR on here and sharing any tips / experiences with other members as the board has been super helpful for me on planning this trip.

    Have a great trip. Be warned that you will have an annoying number of Americans drunkenly proclaiming "I'm totally Irish too! That's why I love St Patrick's Day so much!!" They honestly don't know it's annoying to actual Irish folk so go easy on them. :evillaugh

    Welcome John! I live in the US but my mother was born in Limerick! I still have quite a bit of family there..aunts, cousins. I was lucky enough to visit once when I was a teenager way back in the 1970's but would love to make the trip again some day. Had to google "Slaínte " as my Gaelic isn't very good. If my mom were still here, she would have known :) We won't be in Vegas again until April...too bad as I would have liked to buy you a beer.
