Bill signed by Sandoval to allow Nevada to have skill based slot machines. Its for the younger gamer crowd and will allow a player to increase their payback based on their gaming skills. Slots/videos would now have a range of playback (IE: 88%-98%) and your skill would determine you're payback odds.

Well, we all know that for VP the games pay better as the skill goes up.

Cool. Skill based sounds like a lot of fun.

I haven't actually had that much luck so far where the only required skill is pushing the spin button, so how bad could it be? Congratulations, you shot down zero planes, your bonus is $0. Been there, done that.

There's a couple slots out there that ask you questions on the bonuses. If you answer correctly on 1st try you get paid the highest amount. The payouts decrease with the more incorrect answers. I think one is "Are you smarter than a 5th grader".

I try to avoid that game........now.

My local harrahs has a slot with a joystick, or maybe it's a trackball, that you use to shoot aliens in the bonus round. I will take a closer look at it next time.

The old Poppit slots (which you never see anymore) definitely had a skill angle to the bonus round. Almost a chess-like think-ahead type of thing.
