I checked in at Ballys at the Platinum line that is never full because I am "Special Needs". You need to request in advance when you book your reservation in order to register at the Platinum line if you are handicapped. That is what a manager told me. South Tower room #6107- Had a great view. The light in the bathroom didn't work well unless I toggled it until it would stay on. The top drawer of the small table next to my bed wasn't opening right. The lamp on top of it had a switch that I also had to work on it to work. The t.v. was a small old fashion fat t.v. but it worked okay. The rug was very clean but old. It costs $3.00 per day if you use the room safe. I did like my room because the view was so nice and I didn't pay much for the room anyway. The bed was nice and clean but somewhat hard mattress. I slept really good. That is all that counts. The air conditioner worked really well and my room didn't get direct sun light on my window which made it a really nice temperature sp in the room. Food - I bought the 24 hour Buffet and had fun eating at the Paris, Harrahs, and Planet Hollywood. It was fun choosing whatever I wanted to eat. Funny story - There were two young gals at the Harrahs buffet who filled their plates with lots of bread rolls and sushi and packed it in their purses.lol. Another story - An Asian couple ordered hot water for breakfast and dranked it. He only ate two rolls and the gal ate a fresh apple and one roll and then they left. Huummm..... At dinner time people like to stack their plates with crab legs and shrimp. I don't like cold sea foods. Some people walk out with a banana in their hands at the Paris so I packed a banana in my tote bag. I carry a wide mouth plastic water bottle and I put lots of ice and my free soda in it before I left. I always do that so I can drink it all day long as I walk around the strip. I also stop at bars and ask for ice water and I put it in my water container. Shopping at the Outlets North and South - I had lots of fun stocking up on under wear at the Hanes outlet store where everything was 40% off. I also bought me some Blue suede shoes at Naturalizers Shoe store. I got too tired to look at all of the stores. I need to go back next time. They do have a lot of bargains. I ate a great breakfast at their Food Court at the South outlet. I bought a coke and I got extra ice to put in my water container. I am a coke soda addict. My 90yr. old Mom is also a coke soda addict and she is still in great health. I do mix my coke soda with water to dilute it because it has too much sugar. Another funny story - A bum begging for money was sitting near the air-conditioned elevator at one of the Bridges. Every time he got hot he would press the button to open the elevator so he could cool down.lol. Another bum had a sign that said he was too ugly to be a prostitute.lol. Some men loved his sign and gave him some money. I had fun talking to people on the bus and everywhere I went. I was wearing a cute outfit with a tiny hat that had feathers and ribbons, and a necklace of red chili peppers. Lots of people were asking me where I bought it. They said I looked really cute. I do like the Piano Bars and Happy Hour places. I don't gamble because it isn't any fun for me. I go to Vegas to be entertained and eat good foods, and socialize with people. I did all that! Another story - I was waiting for a man who was buying two bus passes with his credit card but instead he got 3 bus passes by mistake. He turned around and asked me if I would buy the 3rd ticket and I did. He got real happy. I saw the bus security man who throws people off the SDX Express bus if they don't have a bus pass.... at the bus stop area. I told everybody they better buy their bus tickets. The Security guy said he throws the people near the bushes so they will have a soft landing.lol,lol. I got on the Express bus and as the bus would stop... people would walk in ready to show their bus pass. I would tell them they didn't have to show it to the bus driver who is hidden behind a glass wall and doesn't want to talk to the bus passengers. A lady asked me, "why buy a bus pass if they don't check it"? I told her about the security man who does random selection on checking peoples' bus passes. Friday night - I started getting sick with a cold but I had packed some cold medicine and it worked. Saturday morning I woke up with swollen eye lids and red eyes. I looked terrible so I decided to leave early for airport so I could get home earlier. There was a long line at Southwest waiting to check-in. I chose to enter through an Exit entrance and I went up to a Registration clerk and told her I was sick and needed a wheel chair and help to register because my eyes were blurry and I had a vision problem. She called for a wheel chair and Checked me in. I used my Southwest Rewards points to pay the extra money for my ticket to fly home sooner. I really wanted to come home as soon as possible. They have volunteer workers at Southwest to help the handicapped people. I told him I could walk but I couldn't see very well so he held my hand and walked me through security and to my gate. It was just wonderful. I plan to write to Southwest and tell them about how nice their workers were in helping me. I got back home by 12noon and at 1p.m. UPS delivered some Mothers Day Flowers for me from my grandson in Georgia. Lucky for me that I chose to come home early. It was a surprise from my grandson. He called me at 2p.m. to wish me a happy day and asked if I received the flowers. I am feeling better now that I am home and tomorrow I plan to visit my 90yr.old Mom. On Monday I plan to see my eye specialist doctor to check my eyes. I think I am alergic to some of the prescription eye drops. The weather was great in Vegas. I got a nice light tan from walking around in the sun. I always have fun in Vegas. LucyR.
