There is a TV network Sinatra special ---
but when I read up on it ---
it's just a bunch of current singers - doing Sinatra numbers --
I have ZERO interest in that.

I just finished Tina Sinatra's memoir book.
    Whoa !
She puts the hammer down on Frank's last wife !
The witch scammed most of Frank's fortune away from the family !

    So I watched......
    Show was from 1965.
Frank with a 60's fashionable, vested, suit........not quite a shark skin.
He had his first toupee on.
    *
I was too tired, to really enjoy it..........my son was pukin' + had a fever = so I was busy.
    I DVR'd it......I'll watch again.
    *
    But......
I couldn't help think about Sinatra - in context of 1965.
By '65.........The youth culture had exploded - The Beatles reigned supreme on the charts.
Sinatra ( and Elvis, for that matter ! ) were no longer bustin' the charts.
    Neither was considered "hip" anymore.
Frank ,did make his comeback already........but in film, not music.
He had started his "Reprise" record label - but by '65 - I believe his sales were about to plummet.
( Not that he wouldn't have any "hits", again.....but, youth music took over the industry.)
    *
He was probably guided to make a network appearance....strictly singing.
His several, TV shows ALL flopped.........he still got paid, nicely........but they were ALL flops.
    I say "guided".........by the money offer ?
    *
The US culture was just spinning at an incredible rate........1965......Sinatra.

Thanks for the heads-up. Sinatra did several you never hear. A couple deserved anonymity and a couple others were very nice. Always a treat to hear a new one or a different treatment of an old one. Loved those sixties sets.
