I love Hawaiian food. Is this the real deal or put together to get people to go?

Can someone recommend a real Hawaiian place or do I have to fly to OHAU or Maui again.

    Thanks

I never tried the Hawaiian buffet at silverton, but we always try to make the silverton senior night buffet. I actually avoid anything I can always get here in Hawaii, and the few "local" foods I have tried in Vegas have never really measured up to the real stuff here in the islands. A couple exceptions might be Chinese food and sushi, if you go to the right place.

My suggestion for the best chance at 'authentic' local food would be at L & L. I don't even eat the local stuff you can get downtown at the Cal, but you can try there too.

Lots of local Hawaiians live in Vegas so I'm sure they have some inside info on where they get their fix.

There's at least 2 L&L's within 2 or 3 miles of the east side of the strip. Ive been to 2 right off the strip. Not within walking distance but an easy bus ride. Easiest would probably be at the corner of Flamingo and Maryland. Just hop on a bus outside Ballys, head east, and within a few minutes, youre eating a BBQ mix plate with Mac salad!

I've Tried L&L it is OK. I do have a rental car so getting around is not bad.

    I've had
Hawaiian Style Poke off Wynn and spring mountain

I'll keep checking. I have a few friends from Hawaii and see if they can recommend some places.

    thanks for the input.
