I never stayed here when it was Terribles but I did have their buffet and it was TERRIBLE. Well we have been here at Silver Sevens and it was good.
I'm always nervous the first day at a new place . We entered our room and realized how thin the walls are . We could here the next rooms tv very loud and asked for a different room. No problem and the rest of our 5 day stay we had no nieghbors so it was peacefull. There is airplane noise but that doesnt bother me. Just turn on the fan, it almost drowns it out.
The decor was nice and newly furnished. Flat screen tv with cable. Everything worked. The bathroom walls need to be redone as some tile work.
Just some little reminders that its an old place.
The buffet was actually good and inexpensive. Very good salad bar. The cafe was good too. M-F happy hour with $3 tacos and one other item choice.
Free coffee at the gift shop when you stay there.
I just might stay here again.

It was, and remains my "go-to (the airport) place for breakfast.

New Orleans 7* retreat. Food, food, and more food . . . .
    Tentatively Tahoe or LV . . . .

I love Silver Sevens, especially the Bingo when there are very few people there! On checking my APlay card at the kiosk each day there is nearly always either freeplay or food comp on it. Have you heard what the Kobe burger is like at the new steak place? I think it was a special at $12 or $14 or something like that.

Dailun - I had the silver sevens skillet at the cafe. I will have that again.
Corinne - no see on the Kobe burger. Thanks for the bingo tip.

I'm so glad I read this string! I stayed at the place once when it was Terribles...very similar feel to staying at the 4 Queens downtown...like I said, I stayed ONCE. I ate at the buffet when it was Terribles (comped), for breakfast, once. Worst buffet I've ever encountered. I honestly completely wrote this place off of my list entirely. Now it looks like I'll have to give it a second look.

Lately, Silver Sevens has replaced the Hilton/Westgate as my go-to place. Like the rooms, quiet pool area and location close to airport. And yes, the buffet has improved. Have a 4-nite stay planned for next month.

Terribles was my go to casino for a lot of years. Their dinner buffet was pretty bad. But there breakfast buffet was very good with made to order omeletes and waffles. They also had c. wings. Lunch was ok.
Turkey breast how can you hurt it. Their gambling and club was great! Its very bad for an off-strip place now. Their rooms were always a value and they have improved them. The casino is cleaner and the patrons are a more subdued crowd. The silver 7's had eliminated their om. bar until recently.

Their Cafe has excellent food and they always have buy 1 get 1 free coupons that will work for a single at 50% off.
Don't they have a 1/2 lb Hamburger special with unlimited Fries for $5.95?
The pool area is nice and you can bring in your own drinks pretty easy as long as you are nonchalant about it.
The VP sucks though... and I am much happier Downtown with more People and Better Gaming.

Five weeks ago the buffet was about the worse I ever had...it was free so I could easily walk out.

Get the deuces wild breakfast at the café (not on the menu) as you get two eggs, two pancakes and bacon/sausage for $2.22 with the card.

My view is that there are other off-strip properties for the same price so why slum it here?

we haven't stayed there for a while but when we did, we thought the tower rooms were much nicer than the lower level ones.....more updated, more secure feeling.....not so many people running around the hallways
I like the dinner buffet there these days when they have Chinese food and I like the Chinese food that's served in the cafe. agree the deuces wild breakfast is a good deal; service can be slow

Hmmm. I'm liking what I'm hearing. I've been getting an offer over the past 6 months from a brief stint on their vp and craps table. Need a room for 1 night either before or after march madness week. Seriously thinking about trying these guys or if my buddy comes for MM then put him up there and Tuscany suites and I'll take the Gold Coast before/after my stay at Ballys!

I'm a buffet guy ( offer includes a free buffet) so its good to hear that the buffet has improved!!!

I stayed there numerous times in the Terribles years. It was never my LV home. but it was great for fill in or the last night in town. The casino was always crowded, but once you're at a machine or a table, what's the difference? Glad to hear the buffet is better. It was one of the worst in town. The café has always been good. You also have Lawry's, Bahama Breeze and PF Changs across the street
I wouldn't want to be there for an extended stay, but for a night or two it's ok.

    Good Luck!
