When I get in next week I was considering taking a cab from the airport to the Strat. Ive taken the shuttle before which for the Wife and i was around $17 or 18 1-way and took around an hour with all the various stops.
Cab fare is estimated to be around $27 if I dont get the run around. The extra $10-15 seems like a good deal to save the 30-45 min extra on the shuttle.

Any thoughts on this and which route I should tell the cabbie to take?

Yeah that's awesome. I plan on printing that out and taking it with me. Should help with any arguments that may arise.

If you look at the map, you can see how much shorter it is as compared to the tunneling route. Be prepared on responses like "lot of construction" or "do not tell me how to do my job". Place the number of the taxi cab authority on your cell phone...702-668-4000.
