    Pretty nice.
I didn't know if the red grapefruit would work for me.
    It wasn't overpowering !
I do like ginger spices in certain brews.
The beverage joint near me just got
    this brand in.
You people in Texas probably knew about this
    awhile ago.
But they are just reaching my area --
up the Hudson River Valley ( north of NYC ).
    .
I'm handing out some Ruby Red to my golfing
    buddies on Sunday.
    .
And I'll be trying the Shriner Variety pack, next !:drunk:

I love the Ruby Redbird! It's a great summer "mowing" beer:peace: I drank it in Austin in May and was happily surprised to find it available at many places in NC when I got back home....

Had a pint at an Elephant and Castle Pub, it was flat with no head, and I don't think the lines had been cleaned in awhile. Had another from a can, totally different, nice head and good carbonation, not sweet, the grapefruit and ginger went well together.

I'm on an IPA kick right now, just picked up Flying Fish HopFish, very nice color, good balance of hops.

As for variety packs, I picked one up from Victory Brewing: Hop Devil, Headwaters Pale Ale, Golden Monkey, and Prima Pils, my personal fave.

I finally found some Boulevard Unfiltered Wheat in my area and have a 6 pack waiting for me in my fridge. Squeeze a lemon slice in it and it is one of the best beers I have ever had.

Gonna have to try that Shiners.

I tried the Shiners variety pack --
nothing that outstanding to my taste.
The Hefenwiesen was pretty dense --
    other than that........ah ?
But the "Ruby Red" is a great find !

I filled a growler of Victory's "Summer Of Love"
    ( golden ale / blonde ale )
It was okay.....I wouldn't bother again, though.

Someone asked me about "Golden Monkey" on the golf course --
So, HAMMIE's post comes in handy cos I had no answer.
I'll have to try that variety pack --
    Victory is expensive !

Agreed, Victory's Summer Love was not their best effort. A very drinkable summer brew is Flying Fish Farmhouse Summer Ale. Golden Monkey is a Belgian Style brew with a 9.5% ABV. This is usually a 10 oz. pour. It's a nice one, but I think the alcohol comes out on top despite the herbs and hops. Try one if its fresh or in the bottle, and two if a friend is driving. The variety pack is almost $40 here in PA, but I took care of a neighbors dog and I won't accept money, somehow they knew my weakness for craft brew. Maybe it was on recycling day?
