When I was a kid and my dad took me to Vegas{mid 60's}, one thing I really remember seeing was these large bowls filled with ice and the biggest shrimp. I mean shrimp almost the size of hotdogs. Can you still get really big shrimp anywhere on the strip like that?

Remember things always look bigger when you're a kid.
We had the Mirage dinner buffet recently and it had peeled boiled shrimp, does size matter in this case?
They were about the thickness of a bubble gum cigar and half the length. My wife says they were the size of her thumb.

The Bellagio lunch buffet had similar.
Dupars in Golden Gate downtown has a $2.99 shrimp cocktail, small shrimp, fills a fountain glass. Very good!

I do remember we stayed at the old thunderbird hotel but we went next door to whatever big hotel that was to eat. I must have seen those big shrimp at one of those places.
