Not surprised, unfortunately nothing related to big-time musicals seems to have any staying power on the Strip.

I wouldn't be surprised if some Casino brought over a production of 'Hamilton' at some point and that flopped too - Vegas is apparently just the wrong town for this sort of thing.

I am under the impression that Hamilton will go to the Smith Center when it goes on tour. It doesn't sound like it will have a long run when it does come. I don't think it Vegas that's the problem - I think it's the Strip that's wrong for musicals. I would like to see how a show does with an open ended run at the Smith Center before I would right off the whole city.

But as far as Showstoppers is concerned, it was a high priced ticket for a show that was not a big time musical but a locally produced Broadway musical revue that starred no one anyone has heard of. That's a tough sell even with good WOM. I'm surprised that it lasted that long. I know I was turned off by the ticket price considering some better known productions are more affordable.

It was entertaining but overpriced as you said. I was also surprised how uncomfortable the seats in that NEW showroom were. The stairs were also very steep.
    I expected FAR better.
