I make 2 or 3 trips to vegas a year I usually stay at Mlife properties. I do have a total rewards card and checked there map and seen the closest one to me is 4 hours away. If I were to switch to CET would it be in my best interest to make a trip to the somewhat local casino maybe once in between vegas trips to improve my standing with them. I do tend to bet higher when in vegas compared to local casinos, would that hurt my rating?

I think it depends on what you play. I recently went to my "local" CET property for the first time. (It's 3 hours away). I played slots for about 3 hours and left. I lost a total of $150.00 but obviously cycled a lot more money through the machines. This trip was the first time I ever played on a Total Rewards card. Within 2 weeks when I checked my online CET account I had comped rooms available at all Vegas CET properties - though limited availability at Ceasars. I also just received a comp offer from the local. I was very surprised, given my relatively low amount of play, that I got comp offers so fast. If comp rooms are your goal playing at your local will probably generate some.

Please explain what you are trying to accomplish and folks here would be glad to help.

If you want to visit that casino, then go of course.

If you just want some sort of standing, - then what is it you are looking for.

I play blackjack and VP, I would like comped rooms, FP, and RC. My current offers are around $30-50 FP and 2 nights comped mid week Luxor or Excal. If I can improve on that it would be great.

I have closer casinos I like to play now and then just wondering if I can get better comps in Vegas if I played the somewhat local CET place instead.

if ur looking to go vegas and stay for free throw cet some money, they give rooms away they are cheap on the fp unless your a big player but i guess not as all your getting is free rooms at excalibur and Luxor thru mlife, u will probaly get better free rooms for more nites from cet but thats it , up to 5 nites comped

It does not take too much play to get free rooms at CET. Getting anything additional takes a fair amount of play.

If your typical Mlife offers are 2 nights midweek at Luxor/Excal... I am guessing you are not going to get much more from CET other than a few more nights.

So, is it worth driving 4 hours each way, playing a bit and then maybe getting a few free nights?

On your next Vegas visit, go ahead and play a few hours at CET and you will get some room offers for the next trip. Or just pay the $100 or so for a room and not worry about the comps.

As others have said, getting a comp room at CET is not difficult. Offers like free play, gift cards etc are market specific. If you play in Vegas you will get those offers there. Having big play in AC won't help you get free play in Vegas.

    Sorry to hijack....

Hey missus, looks like we will be there together in Dec, any chance you can look after my craps bets again ;)

Did you get any offers stacked on top of the GGWU? I'm only staying at CET if they give me something, otherwise I'm Wynn bound this upcoming trip!

I'm flying in on Saturday Dec5. I was able to book my regular monthly free play as well. I wanted to fly in on Friday Dec 4, but couldn't book the free play if I came in on the Friday. So you should be able to stack an offer along with GGWU if it's from Saturday on. I'm there Saturday, flying back Thursday.
You're going back to stay at PH? I'm staying at Caesars(at least for the first couple of nights).
Are you booked to fly in on Thursday? I don't think you can stack an offer an offer if you get in on Thursday.

I think you do better when I handle your craps bets. You only press and never take any money off!

I play at Harrahs and Harveys in Lake Tahoe more then anywhere else and the nice thing is they are Total Rewards. So my trips to Vegas are always comp'd. The only difference besides getting free rooms at both is that my Vegas offers are about 50% of my Tahoe offers. I actually play about the same level in Tahoe as I do in Vegas however maybe a tad higher in Tahoe at times.
