Somewhere between Thursday night and 2 AM Friday morning, I'm envisioning

    A) $100 drunken slot play
    B) Let it ride a couple of times to many
    C) Since you mentioned a wife, not going there.

    Liked the report!

No. I calculate DOWN by using what I came into town with as my starting point. So, ultimately ($700 in pocket + $500 ATM + additional $500 Bank withdrawal spent) I'm down $1700.00

But, yeah, if you calculate from where I COULD have exited (at $1500 UP) then it would be a $3200 descent. When I go down I like to go down in flames. Honestly, while the numbers make me a bit queesy, I gotta say I had an absolute blast.

I stayed at Luxor (only slept there the first night, hahaha) and had my downward spiral at Cosmopolitan.

If you're wondering where my jackpots were, they were

    1. Cosmo (Press Your Luck)
    2+3. Mandalay Bay (Blazing 7's)
    4. Mirage (Blazing 7's)

The losses after that were spread around a multitude of table games and some machines at Cosmo.

Craps, Pai Gow Poker, Spanish 21, Blackjack, 3 Card Poker, Black Jack Switch, Roullette.

I don't like to play favorites. I think everyone deserves a little something, hahaha!!!! I LOVE the dealers at Cosmopolitan, by the way. Rene (she's short and has dark spikey short hair) is by far my favorite.

    I lost my ass, but, hey . . . . that's Vegas, Baby!!!!

And yeah, when the wife asked how much I lost . . . "Ehh, a little bit. No big deal."

I'm the casinos' best customer. The ultimate combination of greatness . . .

    1. LOVES to gamble.
    2. SUCKS at gambling.
    3. CANNOT stop.
    4. NO self control.

Look at me! I'm a friggin' Godsend. They really should roll out the carpet every time I come into town because I can probably count on one hand the times I actually won money and kept it, and I go to Vegas or other casinos about 20-30 times a year.

Sometimes my favorite philosophy is go home a big winner or go home broke. A friend and I were discussing this the other day. He said if I buy in for $500 and rack $ 750 or $1000 I'm gonna color up and I done for the night"..... My reply "I'm not stopping 'til theres a chocolate chip in my hand."

I'm the same way I either win or lose. I calculate my free room as expected value and it makes the losses much more tolerable.

This is my moto and and always seems to end in flames. I never walk while ahead, I always try to win the big one. On my honeymoon in Punta Cana, I was up $1400 the first 4 nights with 6 left to go. The wife says we should stop while we are ahead, I heard, "you should keep the hot streak going and try to pay for this honeymoon!!"

Long story short ended up bleeding that $1400 away the next 6 nights and left after 10 days of gambling exactly even. Had to take that shot, you never know what could have been if you didn't.

    HEAT CHECK!!!!

Ohhh, my "VEGAS MATH" is a whole other topic completely.

I always start with figuring that my free rooms are retailed about about $400 a night, adding any meals, etc. and then calculating on top of that . . . let's see, I left up $200 last time, so I add that, and since I would have typically lost $1000 had my homie not punched me out and sent me to my room, that's another $1000 . . . .

I usually arrive UP about 2 or 3 grand and use some sort of quadratic equations to prove that, although it seems like I lost $2500, I'm actually still UP. It's a complex and very scientific means of mathematical science . . . (some people would think I'm an idiot, but that's because they're too stupid to see the genius of it).

    Room, Food, Beverages, Gasoline ...
    Renewed vigor.

    >I gotta say I had an absolute blast.
    Good!!

    >stayed at Luxor (only slept there the first night)
Do you think this might be the cause of you not having salted away some of that "up money" while you had it so that if the inevitable downward spiral reared its ugly head, you might have more than just memories of it.
Put some of that cash in your shoe ... thats what you give your wife from your winnings, even if you come back home with several ATM slips in your pocket.

    1. Cosmo (Press Your Luck)
Press Your Luck is, it seems, rather appropriate for your style of gambling.

    >I lost my ass, but, hey . . . . that's Vegas, Baby!!!!
If you had gone to the dump and slept a bit, you might have had just as much fun but wound up keeping more of the money.

I almost missed this report . Rather amusing . I can relate.

I remember a few years ago I caught a royal on VP for a $1000.00 on my second day of a 8 day stay . My brother said put it away and play with your budgeted money . Yeah right . I went crazy and played everything in sun . Gave back that grand in 24 hours. had a ball . That is why I came to Vegas.
