Is there a barber shop downtown where I can get a straight razor shave?

El Cortez. 2nd floor barber shop. $15 bucks.

Ernesto the barber is the freaking bomb!

That's the sign of an old school barber shop right there! I remember one of my first sneak peeks of a Playboy was as a lad when I went with dad to get haircuts....

It's a sign of a jaded Las Vegas visitor when you get excited about a shave and it's not done by a topless girl.:nworthy:

Naw! Its a sign of someone who feels at home in downtown IMO. You can see naked women anywhere. You go to downtown for drinking, gambling and smoking cigars; at least I do lol.

I don't want to diss Ernesto here because people really do seem to like him. I had a shave a couple of months ago here and I was severely disappointed. My face didn't even feel like it had been shaved. Stubble was left all over my face. I have had a straight razor shave done in Tijuana mexico at the Hotel Nelson that blows this guy out of the water and it was 3 times cheaper WITH tip.

I'm sure he's a nice guy and all...but I won't get a razor shave here again I can do better myself.

No need to feel bad about posting a negative review.

I stop in for a shave at the El Cortez every trip. I find it relaxing and well worth $15 + $5 tip. I agree its not the closest shave though.

Indeed, anything in Tijuana is going to be cheaper than Vegas. A few years ago, my "friend" scored a babe in Tijuana for pocket change. She was really hot too. At least that's what my "friend" said.
