Is this any good??? I am working on myvegas points and saw I am getting close to two tickets for this... Hubby and I are going on a low roller trip to just relax and have fun together... Is it worth it or should I keep saving up for something else...

    I'll let you know.
Just used MyVegas points to get 2 tix. Will be there sometime this week.
Just love huge aquariums and ocean life.

It's free, so it's gotta be good then!

It's worth checking out once, but I'd never go do it again. The value of the myVegas points would equal $38 if spent on it, is there anything else on there that seems like a better value for your points?

I'd go, I enjoyed it for what it is (especially when it's 108 degrees outside, lol)
It's set up quite well, lots of things to see and then the BIG ROOM where the
sharks and other large animals are.
They have their own entrance on that side of the property so you don't need to
walk all the way through MB from their front doors if you don't care to.

All depends on you to be honest, being a scuba diver who has been landlocked pretty much I have been a few times to it just to get the feel of open water dives in a way. It is definitely worth seeing if you are into aquatic life though at least once.

Just got back and really enjoyed it!

It's set up like some kind of Mayan theme at first. They have a Komodo Dragon, some weird lizards, a Python, various Piranha's, cichlids, fresh water fish. Then you get into some salt water varieties, giant octopus, a 'pet the stingrays' and horseshoe crab exhibit, then you go into what looks like a sunken ship surrounded by many sharks of different species.
There were 2 under water tunnels and lots to see. Very informative. I have a reef tank at home and have been in the saltwater fish hobby for 30 years. This was very enjoyable.

Glad it was 'free', I wouldn't spend $18 a ticket on it, but I did have a great time.

    Just saw your latest post.
If you're NOT an mlife card holder, then sign-up online or do it at any of their casino's. Print your confirmation email and bring that, your mlife card, and a photo ID to the mlife booth at Mandalay Bay. They have a 3 ring binder with listings for all the MyVegas rewards in it and they know exactly what to do when you hand them everything.

I was given a voucher for 2 free passes to the exhibit. Then I walked like a whole mile to get there, handed the girl at the Shark Reef Encounter my voucher and an ID. She printed 2 tickets and in we went!

It was easy as cake! :evillaugh

I've been a couple of times. Overall a good experience. 1-2 hours, not like going to a major aquarium. Look for discounts.
