........starting to make all my stoopid lists, love this time of the pre trip ritual.

....things on the list so far, from the mundane like dog sitter, take out the compost, and print the reservation numbers to the fun Vegas specific things like get a hundred in ones, put the player's cards in my wallet, and check the football odds on Vegasinsider(again)

Have never been this time of year, looking forward to some heat, guess it was 100*'+ today.......love really warm nights. Thinking a lot of pool time in the shade during the day too.

Pretty psyched about my college phantasy warm up bets.......18/24 against the spread so far today. If anybody has a hunch let me know........I'm a hunch kinda' guy.

What do you have on your list ? I won't tell :ssst:

I started a thread just like this a few days ago...I am right there with you but a few days behind. I have been to Vegas 6 times this year so far, but the anticipation when the next trip is coming up gets intense every time!!!

Today I wrote out some items I wanted to do based on day.

Thurs Just me and my lady:
    • Breakfast?
    • Check out new SLS casino! Signed us both up under a $10k bonus!
    • Lunch Olives at Bellagio
    • Minus 5 Lounge (Groupon and MyVegas)
    • Dinner: Envy steak house
    • Club: Blue Martini Thursday Latin, night free drinks for ladies 11pm – 2am, plus bottle specials

I'm definitely a list maker. I have a trip coming up T-minus 11 days. New items on the list this time - staying at Silverton; dinner at Giada's; visit new SLS; and go to new Sterling Brunch at Ballys. Then some old favorites: steak dinner at Ellis Island; visit downtown; eat oysters; smoke cigars; and gamble alot.

I alternate between having trips with a list and shoot from the hip trips. The shoot from the hip ones are when I want to simply gamble until I can't see straight or I am there with my friends (aka Super Bowl weekend).

This time I am making a list because it is mainly a solo trip for me. A couple of my buddies will be in town at the same time and we'll meet up but its mainly all solo.

I have two lists in my iPhone notepad...one for the logistics; a quick reference for me that includes my flight confirmation number, hotel confirmation numbers and offer details.

The to-do list has...breakfast reservation at Mon Ami Gabi...Dupar's for breakfast....Royal Shave at Art of Shaving in Mandalay....Mob Museum...my one and only myVegas redemption for a Mirage breakfast or lunch buffet....Lagasse's Stadium reservation for the Eagles game

I have a standard "taking a trip" checklist with a number of things that I may or may not need, depending on what the trip is, but it always has 1 or 2 items on there that make me go "oh, yeah!" when I am packing and would have otherwise forgotten. This helps remove any stressful parts of traveling for me, so I can enjoy it more

And if you forget anything the fact that they have a Walgreens or CVS every twenty feet is good...they should build a couple more, I think.
