Not sure if this belongs here, or in the Restaurants forum...

In formulating my next (prospective) Vegas trip, I'd love to hit Senor Frog's at Treasure Island. I really missed out last time as I was only there Monday/Tuesday night... The general sense I've gotten is that the food at Senor Frog's is "just OK" - hence, I'm not certain if I'd eat there but I may just have see for myself. Really though, I'm more interested in their bar/party scene. Hence, I see the following on their (REVISED) weekly schedule:

    Thursday - Bikini Contest
    Friday - Live Band
    Saturday - Latin Night

Plus their $35 open bar Sunday, Tuesday, and Wednesday from 9:00 PM-1:00 AM.

Anyone experienced any of the above? Feedback please...

I think that everything about Senor Frog's is just OK. I wouldn't worry about making a special point of going there. There are probably at least 50 bars on the Strip that will be just as fun if not more so on any given night. A similar type of bar that is a better time, in my opinion, is Carnaval Court outside of Harrah's.

What was your experience like there? In general I have heard very good things about Carnaval Court.

I've never seen drink specials there, at least not Fri - Sun.

Nothing earth shattering, but the couple of times I've stopped in it was a fun atmosphere with a DJ once and a band the other time, flair bartending, shots being poured into people's mouths, blackjack tables, and a pretty diverse crowd. And it's open air.

Senor Frog's or Canrival Court? Or both?

Would love to catch one of those 80's cover bands at either spot...

sounds like Carnival Court. That's what went down when i was there last year. At one point, the bartenders start blowing whistles and people rush to the bar and they start pouring shots into peoples mouths for tips. When i went they had a DJ and a band, the band was covering a wide array of 90's songs. The crowd was definitely diverse. The age range was pretty big.

in March, I went with a group of 11 other lads and we were staying at The Wynn. On the Friday we decided to do a pub crawl and we started at Senior Frogs. Was a bit empty when we got in but soon filled up. We had such a great time, we didn't visit any other pubs! We did a pub crawl of one.
Some even went back there after we grabbed some food in the early hours of the morning.
