So in a couple months I have to fly in to Ft Lauderdale and have an afternoon to kill once I get there. I saw that the Seminole Hard Rock casino is very close to there. Has anyone ever been? Looks like they have blackjack and mini-bac available. Has anyone played there? Anyone know what the BJ rules are at this casino? Not staying there, just looking to kill a few hours. So any insight on the casino or other diversions at the resort would be appreciated. Thanks

Hi, I live in Miami, and my data is old as I've not been there in at least 6 months. Blackjack will be available, one or two tables at 15-25/hand during the day, usually 25-50/hand in the pit in the evening. 100/hand in the high limit room. Pay for drinks on the floor, comped in the high limit room. I don't remember any 6:5 poison there, and don't really expect it based in the agreement the Seminoles have with the state of Florida. I believe there was mini bac available in the high limit room, but only in the evenings. As to specific rules, I can't remember nuances, but I am sure there is no resplit aces, but you can resplit other pairs, I remember DAS, and fairly sure all the stand on soft 17 tables are in the high limit room. There is a combination of 2 deck hand shuffled, 6 deck machine shuffled and CSM machines there.

Depending on when you go, check to see if other entertainment is there, there is a comedy theater and a small concert hall with second tier rock /country music.

Lots and lots of restaurants and bars outside the casino as well.

If there is something more specific you'd like to know, please lemme know!

Certainly worth a visit if you want to play blackjack and are comfortable at the $25/hand level with very limited comps. When I have out of town business folks here, I usually schedule a dinner at one of the restaurants there (there are many at differing price points) and let the folks who want play head into the casino afterwards. PM me when in town, perhaps we can hit the tables for an hour or two....

Yeah, I will be spending most of my time around the homestead area on this trip, so I don't really care if I generate any comps. But good BJ rules appeal to me and wouldn't mind playing for an hour or two

I know, but as I mentioned above, I am flying in to FLL and have time to kill. Unless I can get a hold of an AF plane before then. Then I will be flying directly to Homestead

There is an outdoor area with a lot of bars and restaurants that is great fun in the evening.
