Does anyone have one? I think it would be a great gift for Christmas but unsure which one to buy or where.
    Anyone with ideas?

I don't have experience with one personally but I see them advertised on Groupon a lot.

I am old school and had one of these about 10 years ago.

when i took selfies back then people looked at me like i was nuts and wanted to help me get a good picture.

they are also helpful for stabilizing your camera.

In a pinch it will also make your camera look like a pistol but thats only for use in dark alleys.

I always warn my wife to be careful in metropolitan (particularly) areas when using her cell phone as they are commonly snatched and dashed off with by a stranger with a need for cash. This looks like a tool for easy pickings.... as everyone is focused (?) on posing and not their surroundings......

And what do the costumed characters say when they are in the background of your "shoot"? Do you still tip?

Seriously, be careful of your surroundings when dangling an $$$$$ camera in a phone with others about.....

Had one for a point n shoot camera. Pretty tough to get it balanced enough to take a decent picture.
Probably used it once and tossed it in the closet.

Dang you all to heck! This thread made me troll ebay and I ended up with a selfie stick and bluetooth shutter remote control. I'm making my evil laser beam eyes at you right now.

I wasn't aware that there was an actual name for it but I did see a handful of these while I was walking down the strip this week.
