I just booked a flight that was to cost $113 and it ended up being closer to $150.

    I want a lawyer.

Allegiant just pulled out of my town. I did fly with them for about ten years. When you look at the rates they have posted, add Flight costs and an additional $100 to cover the fees (this is if you need to check in your luggage with a 40 pound weight restrictions ).

Surely you jest about the hidden fees. 'cuz I was under the impression there were already laws and guidelines that made them disclose everything up front. - But that is not the point -- I don't know what the point is - But I am sure what ever it is - it is not - the point.

    :haha:

We can fly Allegiant out of Appleton but they only fly out Sunday and return Thursday (we always go Sun-Fri now). Also they leave later afternoon Sunday and return early Thursday morning so it's like two wasted days. I heard about their $18? Carry on fees and all the other nickel and dime things they add. We just prefer to drive down and catch Southwest out of Milwaukee....love Southwest.

Yeah, they like to nickle and dime you to death, but out of Austin, they're still about half of what SW, or anyone else costs. And, SW is the only other airline that does a direct flight.

I'm just glad I can bring my own drink on-board so I don't have to pay for the $3 can of Coke.

And, that $18 for carry-on is for each way. So, it's more like $36-$40 for the round trip.

From Austin, I fly out Mon, and return Thurs. We land there about 2pm local time, so that's not too bad. But, yeah, our return is at 7:30am, so that kind of stinks.

I've been tracking fares on SW from SAT to LAS. Last night they were $134 each way for my dates. Today they are up to $197 each way. So now I am considering Allegiant out of AUS.
