I just wanted to mention this place. My wife wanted to go shopping and thanks to VMBer Outsider, alerting me to this place, I took one bus from downtown out there. It is next to Boeing Field, so about a 30 minute ride.

I got to go into the Shuttle trainer, an older Air Force One (Ike Kennedy era) and a Concord. Fascinating museum spread out over a couple of buildings and outdoor lot for the larger aircraft. Displays of WWI & WWII aircraft. The original Boeing building where he built his first plane. Lots more, but I can't remember it all.

Anyway, for anybody into aviation, I would make this a must stop. I think with my AAA discount, it was ~$16.

Yep, one of the many great things to do in Seattle.

Good job alerting the troops, Joe.

Active duty service members and up to five immediate family members can get free admission between May 17 and Sept 1. Just have to show current military ID.

North of Seattle at Paine Field in Everett, WA there are several historic flight museums that have operational WW2 aircraft and one even has an original V2 rocket.

    Cool stuff!

Very nice exhibit. Not up to AF Museum in Dayton, OH but better than most around.

Absolutely! One of the best museums in Seattle, though I may be biased ;)
