We were loyal MGM players from 1997-2010. We travel to Vegas monthly for a 3 night stay. Over the past 4 years we have been giving MLife (Aria/Bellagio/NYNY) less and less play as we transitioned to CET. We kept booking Mlife offers to take advantage of free play and other perks. Each time we did, we usually zero played or low played the MGM casino in favor of playing at a CET brand hotel. Each time we thought Mlife would figure things out, we would get another offer. After a while we stopped using our hosts and just booked the offer.

We are now going to move back to MGM/Mlife for many reasons. Our play was about $2,000 ADT for 1997-2010, then maybe $100 ADT for 2010-present, and will now return to $2,000 ADT or more from this point forward.

How long will it take for the "computers" to forget our past 4 years?

Do you have any relationship with hosts at any MGM properties? If so I'd recommend you contact them. I know you'd have a better time getting better deals by explaining your situation and re-transition back to MGM to an actual person than some stupid computer that might spit something out in a few years.

If you have a specific property in mind, I have some good hosts at MGM who will understand and can help you. PM me for a recommendation if need be

It doesn't sound like you have a host, if thats the case then all you'll really need to do is just give one property some strong play and that should fix it up. And you do mainly want to stick with one property: if you figure your ADT is $2000 don't divvy it up so its like a third at NYNY, a third at Aria and a third at Bellagio... that doesn't mean don't play around but if you were going to concentrate play at Aria to get more of their future offers then you should give them 60% or more of your play and that'll pretty much wipe the slate clean.

If you have a host then they might be a little leery of you for a trip or two, but then they'd just base your comps on a trip on meeting your play history and if you short played them then they'd just charge you for everything.

Yes, I had hosts at all these properties. The one at NYNY has me booked for next month and doubled my offer. I am not sure she will be there much longer. My host at Bellagio and Aria has both moved on. This is why I am asking about the "computer".

Well to be honest we're not too happy with Mlife at this moment either. We were platinum at Mlife until our last trip to Vegas in March 2013. We always received offers for 3 nights comped (at NYNY and Mirage) and $150 of freeplay. During our september 2012 stay we were approached by our "new" host at NYNY. He told us to send him an e-mail or give him a call the next time we were in town. He would take care of us, no problem. Now that we're in the planning stages of our March 2015 trip we contacted our host at NYNY and gave him an explanation of our current status (0 at Mlife) and the reason why we haven't been to Vegas since 2013. Result: got 1 e-mail back with a very basic offer/answer and haven't received any response on my second e-mail (over a week ago). Needless to say, I think I will take my business elsewhere. We went from getting special invites for NYE parties with comped rooms and FP, slot & BJ tournees with comped rooms, to an absolutely cold shoulder in two years.

At worst, you may not get any upfront offers and have to have a host take care of things on the backend for a few trips while you reestablish your play history with Mgm/mlife.
It would be a good idea to not push for maximum comp value during the first few trips as well.

I'm a lower tier than you, but my experience is that the computers very quickly forgive for lack of play no matter what players club. They want your business and as long as there is some proof that you are wanting to play any their property, they aren't going to hold back. I don't feel they would pick up many new players if they required a year of solid play before making decent offers.
