My husband who never calls to make reservations called Mirage this evening to ask what our rates are for the weekend we are going. At first the guy quoted him $150, $171 and comp plus resort fees and taxes. When my husband said "wow" the guy said, "hold on, we can do better than that!" . We ended up with $49, comp and $49 for a grand total of $168 for all 3 nights!

I have no idea what offer that guy hooked us up with but we are relieved to finally be booked....as prices were steadily rising due to a couple of huge conventions starting that Monday. So...if you don't like what you are quoted, keep pushing....maybe they'll find something!

    Good score on that.

just a quick question though, did you guys already have a comped deal at mirage on your mlife? All my offers are for MGM and excalibur. But my friend wants to stay at mirage for our trip in sept. I wonder if I should just give them a call to see if they'll comp anything.

We had one night comped. With the first quote they were comping the Sat night and the other high rates were our "special" casino rates. I have no idea where this guy pulled a $49 rate from but we weren't going to argue with that! We didn't have any $49 rate offer showing on my account or my husband's. We called back a few minutes later just to make sure we heard correctly!
