Friend got to LV today and sent a picture of Sbarro at Bally's all boarded up. Is Bally's planning something else for the space? This was one of our late night stops.

Yeah, but I swear that walk back to it is longer than it is from the parking garage to your room at PHo!! :grrr:

that is true, I bounce back and forth between staying at Flamingo and Ballys, Flamingo is so much easier to navigate!!

It is closed during construction, but a remodeled version will reopen. Along with Ichiban. Nathan's and Johnny Rockets are supposed to be added. It's the first phase of the Grand Bazaar Shops.

I was very surprised to hear that! Whenever I've walked by there it's always been busy! Glad to hear it's not going bibi! :)

I know that I always sound down on chain places, but with Sbarro and Nathan's they bring back memories of long before either one of them was a national chain! :) Sbarro kinda helped turn me into an almost-mall-rat back in the days. :)

What I loved the most at Sbarro: the bucket filled with ice and 5 bottles of beers and the digital Jukebox.

I won't miss their cardboard pizza at all. I wonder if the Nathan's and the other quick service places adjacent are still open? I'm staying at Ballys in March.

I was there in December....with the exception of the sports book, there isn't anything in that corridor any longer--all the food outlets were already boarded up. I don't know when they are going to reopen, but the Nathan's won't reopen but will be replaced by a Subway instead. Sbarro's and Ichiban are supposedly being remodeled and will reopen. Again, there was no indication of the time frame of the food court reopening date.

Glad to hear they are updating the space, we hang at the sports book and stop by early AM for a slice.

I always hated that downstairs. We would stop by the Book on the way to the pool and it seemed like such a long, boring walk. The ceiling seemed like it was way too low and they totally wasted all that space. I hope they get someone to redesign it since between the pool and the monorail, there would be a number of people using it

That has to be one of the less used sports book.

Ahhh Sbarro, I love that place. They had one on campus back when I was at Texas Tech University (Guns up!). I stop at that place in Monte Carlo some late nights when I stay at Aria.
