I hope it's better than when I went in 2009. It promised a lot and delivered very little. Compared to Vegas Uncork'd's Grand Tasting, it was pretty bad. This was my summary:

Man, that's too bad. I thought I lucked out already planning to be there that week.

I guess it tells you something when Groupon and Travelzoo sell half off tickets for a month beforehand, and some Uncork'd events sell out within days.

Still, though, I think if I can get tickets for half off, I'll give it a go.

There's no way I would compare it to uncork'd. I've never been there, but I know from the descriptions. At EA, both Thomas Keller's and Emeril's food were pretty bad, as opposed to their restaurants. However, this is like going to 50 Vegas restaurants in one day.

One thing about going here: the first two hours are great--after 2-3 hours of food and free flowing champagne, it can get a little gross.

In my haze over the last two to three years, I most vividly remember the quality of Valentino's, Sushi Samba, Vienna Hot Dogs, and certain Chinese places. Each year, my goal is to plan better. For example, I don't remember ever going to any of Mario's restaurants.
