Why is Spirit so much cheaper than Southwest. With such a short nonstop trip from SAN to LAS they sure do charge an arm and a leg especially with petrol prices at the lowest mark.

Lol, with Spirit, you do not even get a carryon, let alone 2 checked bags. Add a minimum $70 for a carryon round trip (unless you are a $9 club member), and the prices are comparable. God forbid you didn't book that carry on ahead of time, it will cost you $55 at the airport.

I guess this explains why Spirit is a 1 star (if even) airline.

living in vegas i dont have a choice and i hate both , but actualy with no luggage spirit was the same as southwurst and the flight was empty so they let u put stuff in the over head for free,

i would take spirit a gain for 25$ for a an hour flight compare to southwurst for 100 or more with just my under the seat carry on.no difference becuase if either one cancells the flight ur screwed they have no reciprication with the majors.

just my opionon but if u have luggae ur screwed on spirit.
