Looking at trying out Samba in the Mirage next time in Vegas. Any thoughts on the food? And what is the dress code? Thanks

There are much better places to eat in The Mirage. It may be the worst restaurant in the casino.

Thanks, do you have any suggestions for a good Brazillain Steakhouse in Vegas? We enjoy going but there are none close to where we live. I know that there are a few but we've never tried any of them there.

I went there last year, and it was "OK". Quality for the price was good, but that was mainly due to an old MyVegas deal for BOGO there. I don't know if I'd go back at full price. I was really impressed by the BLT burger place there and Tom Collichio's place. I haven't been to any other churrascarias in LV.

Always wanted to try BLT... but something always came up. We did STACK on our last visit and will do it again next time. Order many of the starters and made a meal out of them. Awesome stuff.

Went to Samba a couple years ago with the golfing gang and had a decent time. Not sure I would bring the lovely for a romantic dinner but, for a bunch a carnivore golfers, it was just fine.

As with another person here, I went there a couple of years ago. Basically, my take is, the food was not bad, but not what a Brazilian steakhouse truly offers. There were no "roving" servers (gauchos I believe they are called) and the different meats were just brought to the table upon reques, not carved at your table, etc. . Secondly, the dining room is open to the casino and does not have any atmosphere.

I suggest you checking out the Texas de Brazil Churrascaria. I believe it is in the Town Center shopping center. I have been to our local TdB many times and have always loved the food as well as the experience, most recently last week. Check it out!

BLT is definitely worth it. Good burgers, good shakes, surprisingly good chili. Also open late: 4am on weekends

Texas de Brazil at Town Square gets my vote. Town Square is about 2 miles south of Mandalay Bay. Not walk-able as there are no sidewalks on Las Vegas Blvd once you get past the Welcome to Vegas sign. Don't load up on the salad bar...!

STAY AWAY FROM SAMBA. Eat there 3 years ago it is not a Brazilian Steakhouse and I have been to Plenty in Houston and Dallas. Plus we were sat right on the end next to the walkway that leads to the elevators. It is just waiters bring meats to the Table and the Sausage taste like it was wrapped in Dirt. The only decent thing was the Nut Soup.
