    My Trip Report

Like others recently, I've taken advantage of CET's marketing partnership with the Atlantis. My GF and I will be there for four days starting this Friday, flying Delta out of JFK. We will be staying at the Cove and receive the following:
    • Complimentary Room Taxes, Maid Gratuities and Daily Resort Fee**
    • $100 Resort Credit per night
    • $250 Free Slot Play
    • Atlantis Casino Experience Pass*
    • Crescent Lounge Check-In at The Cove Atlantis
    • Access to Cain at the Cove, an adults-only ultra-pool with gaming pavilion
    • Access to Aquaventure, a one-of-a-kind 141-acre waterscape with 20 swimming areas and 11 pools
There are a number of restaurants that we want to try but nothing planned as I usually like to play it by ear when I'm at a new place. I like to have a better sense of the area first before I commit to making reservations.

On that note, will reservations generally be necessary for a weekend stay?

This will be our third (out of five) Caribbean islands that we will visit this year (Bermuda and Aruba are coming up).

I hope the weather holds up for us this upcoming weekend as the forecast looks ominous with 80% chance of thunderstorms for 3 straight days.

I also hope the gambling will be good and not the shit-show that I just experienced at Mohegan Sun this past weekend. HAHA

Obviously it depends on how crowded things are when you're there. I was at Atlantis a couple of years ago over March break. My wife typically makes reservations with the concierge while I'm checking in. We didn't get into some restaurants we wanted and got others on different nights (that was no big deal). However, we were there for 7 nights and to not get into certain restaurants at all was dissapointing.

Like I said, it was a few years ago. But we did like the restaurant at the Ocean Club, I believe it was call "the One and Only" or something like that. There was a good steakhouse in the Marina shops. Sorry, I don't remember the name. And if you've got a bigger sized party, they have Carmine's there as well. It's the same Carmine's that they have in the Forum Shops at Caesar's (and in Manhattan and Atlantic City).
There are lots of restaurants there, most of them are expensive and not very good. There were a couple of good ones off property. There was an Italian restaurant on the other side of the bridge with a nice view of the water. The concierge will know what I'm talking about.

    Have fun!

I just booked the identical trip -- Seven Stars offer and booked the Cove -- for Friday, November 18th until November 22nd, the last day before the Thanksgiving blackout period. It's been probably 10 years since I've been to the Bahamas and this will be my first trip to Atlantis. I'm very excited!

We landed after an uneventful flight and grabbed a taxi to the Atlantis (fixed price at $35 + $2 for luggage). Checked in and was surprised to learn that a high floor suite was available! A win!

Last night, after scoping out the pair of Salvatore Ferragamo shoes I was going to buy with my winnings, I went back to BJ with $2k; it got whittled down to $200 when we had a strong finish to the shoe and I cashed with this piece of chocolate
