So, I talked with my "Casino Insider Buddy" a couple of days ago (He's the bathroom attendant at bally's mens room/ But hey, the bathroom is inside the casino isn't it ?), and he has confirmed that CET is considering raising the pay tables on all of their video poker machines.

I'm Not sure if this is just the ones in Vegas or at all of the casinos they manage.

But here is what he heard.... He heard that they have been looking at the paytables for a long time and finally figured out something is just not right. The gambler is being cheated and short changed!

As a result they are going to make a drastic change. From now on, on every straight flush, they are going to return 251 coins instead of just 250 coins, with 5 coins bet!

I'm not sure how fast they will be able to implement this change because of the number of machines involved, but watch for it soon.

And, on the way to the airport this exact story was confirmed by the cab driver so I feel safe in reporting it here! But at this point, this is still just in the rumor stage.

I play at the local Horseshoe regularly and I have not noticed any paytable boost. However, one thing they recently did was to remove the $.05 option on several of their multi-game machines in the main VP area. One good thing I noticed is more of the "true penny slots" being sprinkled about the floor.

To quote multiple sources (even on this board), they wouldn't do it IF "the customer hadn't requested it!"

LOL, changing the SF to pay 251/252/253/254 would be impossible...but funny none-the-less.

I've heard that customer needs to request the increased payout to receive it though. 10 minutes for an extra coin or 2 seems worth it.

True Story...I actually got my host to increase the payout on a video poker machine, once...
It had 7/5 Bonus Poker, and I asked if she could put it to 8/5, and she had a slot tech do it...haha, talk about service, right?

I always ask my host to downgrade the payable so that I can have a bigger theo.

I hope that is a joke. Give me a good paytable with little theo, and I will be a happy man.
