We will be staying at MGM Grand would it be helpful to get the bus pass to get us Downtown? We will be heading down there for Bike Fest. Is this a good option? And it says to allow time for it to be mailed... we leave Sept 25th, think we have enough time?

You can take the STX and it's a fairly quick ride downtown The Duece is cool, but it stops at virtually every hotel. And being so far south down the street, it might take a while

    Fees - $2 for 2 hours
    $7 for 24 hours
    $20 for 3 day pass

I used this service while staying downtown and attending a convention and probably saved $100 (bus vs. cab). And it really wasn't bad.

    Good Luck!

OK thanks! So should we just buy them when we get there? is it easy enough? it doesn't look to be different prices to buy them online??? or am I missing something?

You can buy them there. They have ticket machines at each bus stop. There is a bus stop and machine at MGM Grand. You have to use exact money or debit or credit card, machines do not give change.

Even faster and cheaper is to ride the WAX to downtown. It picks up on Tropicana Ave. along side of NYNY. Costs $2 each way. Coming home the bus stop is along side of Binions on casino center.

I believe you are mistaken. Nia would get on at Tropicana and heading north would depart on 4th at Carson. From there it goes on to the Westcliff Center Park and Ride and eventually to the Suncoast where it then heads southbound and Casino Center at Fremont is the 4th stop where you would board for the southbound trip to the airport from downtown.
