I've asked Jimmy Poon to fix this immediately. Of course, it should be +$3150. :)

Monday Oct 27 was another fine day of gambling at the downtown Boyd properties. We had dinner at Redwood Grille and ensured that Janelle was our server. I told the reservationist on the phone that Brian and I cheered for different football teams and therefore, we should not be close to one another.

We got a crapload of scratch cards but I had kind of a down day, losing $500. But that's okay because another royal flush was hit, on quarters this time. That's three royals in three days. WTF?!

We won some money on Keno too, somebody must be looking out for us up there!

    Here's some credit porn...

Day 4 Tuesday, still at the Cal. We did a super ton of coin-in on multi-play and got many scratchcards. I think the Quad Queen hit 50 or so.

Unfortunately, both of us lost on the day.

One cool thing was that one of the MSS floor people tracked us down with a $76.25 ticket when the Quad Queen forgot to cash it out. She got her scratchcard, and then got up and left. That's great customer service.

We didn't venture outside of Cal / MSS, just wanting to play a shitload of video poker. The weather was gorgeous, according to the Binions thermometer when viewed through the window.

    Royal---

If you go to the main street station website you can click on winners and see pictures of a bunch of people who supposedly won big jackpots.....don't think I saw you or QQ BUT there is a picture of an elderly Hawaiian (?) gentleman holding a 5000 $ scratch off which he apparently had done.

I suppose he won because he speaks "Aloha" better than most of the rest of us.....

Thanks for the trip report thus far....

Hey Flusher, thanks for the TRs. Glad you are doing well this trip.

Noob question, though- There was a hand at STP where you were dealt four sixes and a 9S, and you held them all. Did the machine force that? Would it not have been better to throw the 9 and hope for a multiplier?

You had me worried for a moment there...

but, no, the multipliers only appear on the initial deal, not on the draw. I wonder if they have a variant where they can appear on the draw? That would be interesting!

They do have it, double STP, you can get them on the deal and the draw. So you could get a total of 20x on a hand. But it costs even more than regular STP per hand.

Machines only force holds on max possible wins (i.e. a dealt Royal). In theory you could throw all the cards away on a quad and improve your result, but in reality you'd be a huge idiot. Many people hold all 5 cards when kickers don't matter to prevent a missed hold.

Regular STP only gives a multiplier on the deal, so he failed to get the multiplier for that hand. And Double STP allows you to get multipliers on the draw even though you don't draw any cards. I love when I hold a "pat hand" on Double STP and then hear the multiplier sound.

My favorite game! You may have not run across it because it apparently does NOT exist downtown. But Beeejay Memorial Row 802 at Aria has 8/6 Boner for quarters+ (98.99% w/DSTP). Cosmo 7/5 Bonus for quarters (98.51% w/DSTP). TI has 7/5 Bonus for nickels+. South Point has 8/5 Bonus (99.67% w/DSTP) and 9/6 DDB (99.48% w/DSTP) for quarters.

Nevada locations in the link below.

I hope someone can do better with 20X than I did (at Tunica Roadhouse):

It's a memorial because my bankroll has died there so many times. Meanwhile Alexanbo hits multiple premium quads on some weirdo machine near there that only Flusher could properly name. I plan to reclaim my funds from row 802 in a couple weeks! Great trip Flusher!

Loving the report, as usual, RF. And also as usual, I have a question regarding scratch cards. I've barely played at MSS at all, although I want to on one trip someday. Do you have to stop playing and wait for someone to come over and give you the scratch card, or can they somehow tell how many you've earned? With all the quads you guys hit, does it ever get frustrating to have to wait? If you can concisely explain how the process works, I'd appreciate it. Thanks.

At the bar just signal the barkeep that you got "4" - on the machines just hit the change button. No real wait. If you cant wait for 5 minutes for the possibility of 5K....no sense.

Sorry. Yes you must wait for verification of the quad by slot person.

Also if you're a quarter player, the guarantee of $2 per quad is nothing to sneeze at. If you assume $2 every time, 8/5 Bonus (99.17%) with scratch cards returns nearly the same as 9/6 Jacks (99.54%) without the scratch cards.

In this TR, Flusher and QQ have already got a bajillion of them...:evillaugh
