    My Trip Report

Hi all, wanted to start a trip report but since its 1:40AM and I have to work at 8:00 AM I'm not sure how far Ill get. This trip include myself Mrs golfnut and our good friends C and A. We're all in our early 30's and enjoy a drink or 8 occasionally. The trip started on Friday after we dropped kids of at school. We had a three hour drive to get to the Sioux Falls airport. My wife and I would have flown out of our home town but C and A wanted to save some money and fly out of Sioux Falls. Ok so made them drive and were off. The drive went pretty fast and before we knew it we were at the airport. Got to check in and only a couple people in line. Get checked inane couldn't believe my luck, my bag weighed in at 39.90 pounds. The cut of is 40 pounds. That's cutting it close. Guess I won't be buying anything and putting it in my suitcase.
Get to security and what in the worlds going on there is a very long line. There is never a line in South Dakota airports. I guess one of the x ray machines wasn't working so only 1 line. Get threw and its of to the bar to play some video lottery and have some drinks as we wait. The
Video lottery wasn't a good start as we couldn't seem to win more then are bet back and our buy ins were quickly dwindled to nothing. So first gamble wasn't what I wanted. Oh we'll there's always Vegas.

Flight was easy and with no problems, just like I like them. Got you bags and headed out by the limos and sedans. Ended up taking a limo to Monte Carlo. Gave the driver $80 for a 10 minute ride. Seems foolish
But I hate waiting for a cab want to get to hotel as fast as possible.
Used VIP check in for the first time. Wow is that nice not having to stand in the large line waiting in the lobby. Get checked in and were able to get into a spa suite that I requested. The upgrade was a total of $160 and the resort fees of $60 so $220. Get done with check and head out to the lobby to find we're C and A are at in line. Ok so they have moved 4 feet. Yeah I think I could learn to like this VIP check in.

We ended up going down to The Pub for lunch. Everyone had the build your own burger. It was good, really like the muenster cheese. On mine. I had a couple wells banana bread beers. Also very good.

My plan was to hit the roulette tables but I was informed that we were going to go shopping. Head down to forum shops get to we're you enter the mall by the Coach store and that's it. I'm not going any farther. I'm staying right here in the casino and you girls go shopping come find my when your done. Played three random penny slots. Each one I put in a $100 bill and each one of gladly took it and didn't give me anything in return. Now I asked C if he wanted to play or at least play with me. Each put in $20 and take turns if we win split but he wanted to just watch. Then was happy to remind me that I just lost $300 dollars. Yeah thanks for keeping track.

The girls find us and my wife was very pleased with coach. She had purchased a purse there six years ago and it started to fray on the top. She still had the receipt and they exchanged it for the full purchase price. I was impressed at that customer service. Not sure if they would do that for everyone or that she's purchased about ten of there purses over the last six years.

Walk over to mirage to get our tickets to Daniel Tosh for 10:00 PM.

Ok it's now 2:30 in the morning. I better get to bed. More tomorrow night after work.

Some of the higher end stores keep records of what you've bought over the years, so they probably did know that your wife was a regular. I've gone into stores in Vegas looking for a gift for my wife and had the ladies pull up everything she ever bought there, then make a suggestion on what would go with what she already had. Customer service is essentially what they sell.

Got the tickets and the girls head back to the Monte and C and I stay at mirage to see Daniel Tosh at 10:00 pm. We have about 2 hrs before the show so I sit down at a roulette table by in for $400 and boom first spin I hit 23 straight up for $175. Crap why did I only have one nickel on it. So now I'm got that feeling that this is going to be my table. Nope, I didn't hit any other numbers and was quickly down to nothing. I didn't even ask what I was rated at as it only took about 30 minutes to loose. So we walked around the mirage playing random slots. Played the big Texas tea for a while but no big wins to speak of. You know it's strange that when I would get a bonus round before it seamed like I was at least winning a couple hundred bucks. I always play max bet. But this trip it seemed like I would go to a bonus playing $3 to $5 max bet and would win $30-$60. Not sure if I'm picking the wrong games to just unlucky. For some reason C was able to tell me exactly how much money I had lost. So we had to have a little talk about my bank roll. I know how much I'm comfortable with loosing and don't need to be reminded every few hours how much I've lost.

We go over to the Terry Fator theater and get in line for a drink. When the bar tender was pouring my drink the top fell off the top of the bottle and filled the very large glass almost completely full if Bacardi dragon berry rum. "That will work I say, perfect". Ok if you want he replies and adds a splash of cranberry and lemonade. Lets just say that I wouldn't need any other drinks to help keep my buzz going strong all night long. Daniel Tosh's stand up was hilarious I couldn't recommend seeing him enough as long as you don't get easily offended by things most people find offensive.

More to come. Sorry, not meaning to get so long. Next Ill use the computer and not the iPad. It takes to long to type on here.
