I've seen all the Cirque shows more than once, and quite a few other things, so I've narrowed this next trip down to the two mentioned. Anyone that's seen either of these have a recommendation or a 'don't go' warning?

I honestly don't think you could go wrong with P&T. It's a nice mix of jokes, magic, and political talk (penn is a pretty vocal libertarian atheist).

Rock of ages I hear is also good but I've not seen it. I'm not a huge fan of 80s rock.

Rock of Ages is really campy and fun. Every seat is good, so you don't have to spend big bucks to see it, either.

My wife and I both enjoyed Rock of Ages and I would recommend it.

    I haven't seen P&T.

I agree with the Penn & Teller recommendation (haven’t seen Rock of Ages).

The political/philosophical talk is pretty tame, IMO. I don’t think any of the more controversial tenets of their belief system are hit upon. Certainly nothing like on Bullshit.

Oh yeah nothing like their Bullshit show on Showtime. However someone who wasn't aware might be put off by it.

Rock of Ages - Tix 4 Tonight

Does anyone know what tickets Tix 4 Tonight sells for Rock of Ages and at what price? Planning to pick up tickets right away on Tuesday.

    TIA

We got Rock of Ages from Tix4tonite for $54/each a couple months ago. They were great seats.

We've seen both. I'm not a fan of P&T. I didn't expect to like Rock of Ages (don't like 80's music-I'm old) but my husband and I both LOVED it. I guess it depends on whether you like magic or a fun, rockin' show.

Penn and Teller is a good show, I saw it earlier this year and was happy with it. Plus you get to meet them in the lobby afterwards, and Penn is huge!! (Like super tall lol)

I've never felt a desire to see Penn & Teller and I loved Rock of Ages -but haven't seen it in Vegas. I got tickets for our anniversary to see the touring show at home....:peace:

Actually saw both shows on last trip in March. Penn & Teller was decent...but I expected more. I called in "underwhelming" when it was over. Rock Of Ages was great! If you like 80's rock...you will love Rock Of Ages. Be sure and start with a few Bartles & Jaymes in the Bourbon Room before the show. HAVE FUN!!

Instead of "Rock of Ages" you might want to look at the reviews on this site about "Raiding the Rock Vault" at LVH. I believe it is rated #4 on Things to Do in LV.:peace:
