Saw this on tmz, of all places. A rainbow appeared above Prince's studio in Paisley Park a few hours after he passed.

Yes very sad news. He certainly was a great artist/performer. He will be missed.

Ahhh. Real music played with real instruments with real incredible talent!
Nice. I smiled through the whole song.

I love the drop the mike moment. Just throws the guitar up & walks off. Bravo! He knows he just f--kin killed it.

A talented artist, no doubt, but like Whitney and Michael, Elvis and Hank, drugs played a role in premature death, so its not really upsetting to me as a fan. I feel for the family, but drugs are dangerous, and musicians like to play with fire. Lifestyle be damned, make better choices.

I click on this thread and I'm not sure why, but I have no clue who Vanity and Sheila E are. I guess different age groups on VMB.

I first heard of him when the Purple Rain song came out, but never paid any attention to him after that.

I was also saddened to hear that one of his partners, Vanity (with whom I share a given name) also passed away recently. :(

Raspberry Beret was prolly my fave Prince tune.
