    Hello,

Okay, I have switched our reservation from the Flamingo to the Rio. We also got comped for the Rio for 4 nights and I am hoping the pool at the Rio won't be so crowded. And I know, I may be naive about this.LOL

Has anyone who has stayed at the Rio, gotten a late checkout with or without a fee?

Our flight leaves at 6:55 p.m. and it would be nice to still have the room avalable until 4:00-5:00 p.m. for a nap, before the flight leaves.

Thanks again in advance for any help, advice etc.

I don't think you'll get anything past noon or 1 pm unless your 7 stars or its a really slow day.

Just pack a small backpackers and have the bellman hold your other luggage for a few hours.

Can you get comped one more night then just leave early?

I was thinking of calling and seeing what they said. Even without a comp, if we would qualify for a reduced rate, it would be worth it.

    Thanks,
    Karen

Diamonds and above qualify for a later checkout but not that late and even then, it's still dependent on occupancy for the next day. The only guaranteed way is another day on the reservation.

Diamond gets a 2pm checkout. Before we were diamond and stayed at Caesars they charged us $40 or $50 to check out at 6pm. I'm sure the rio has the same ability but probably less expensive.

I've got a 4pm check out on my last 2 visits to PH. (late BA flight back to London). Doesn't hurt to ask.

1:00 is pretty normal if you ask.
When you check in, a friendly attitude and smile works wonders.
Just explain...check you bags with the Bell...everything you need
is there in the casino, you'll be fine.
Hell, even if they were swamped and you had to be out around 11:00...
check you bags, get some breakfast, hang by the pool til it gets hot,
then move inside...YOU'LL FIND SOMETHING TO DO I'M SURE, lol.

    Late Check out Rio

    Hello again,

I just called the Rio and they were able to reserve Friday for me for 40.00. Not a bad deal at all. That way, we still have the room for a nap, showers etc. and I can now take the late flight out of Vegas on Friday.

Thank you all for the info and advice.

A trip report will be in the making, as soon as we land in Vegas, come Sept.
