I recently moved my trip to the beginning of April. Considering a few different hotels... I'm 24 solo trip, Just looking to drink and gamble a lot. Any suggestions?

The two I'm looking at is 4 queens and Freemont. Both are about the same price.. Any suggestions on which is better or other properties?

I know you metioned Fremont or 4Q, but based on the quote above, I would suggest the D or Golden Gate.
both properties are lots of fun. standard rooms at GG are very small - rooms at the D are a little larger/nicer.

Any reason aside from the rooms? I'm looking mostly at the price tag and location.

The D's location is just as good as the two you mentioned and you'll have more counter space in the bathroom.

4 queens has better drink service than the Fremont in my experiences. No resort fee at the Four Queens.

I like Boyd (B connectedz0 gambling at the Fremont better.

Kind of a tossup as both are very comparable.

I saw the smallest room at 4Q and stayed at Fremont. I like the rooms at Fremont better compared to the older 4Q rooms. I cannot comment on the newer tower rooms there.

I seem to get better future offers from Fremont that 4Q but YMMV.

My wife and I stayed at the Four Queens last April. For us the room was fine. I also liked that the Four Queens does not charge a resort fee. We are probably going to rebook again for April or May, 2016.

What about gambling? I primarily like lower stakes BJ and Craps with a little VP. I usually gamble most at my home casino..

We always find the gambling better at the Boyd properties, Fremont, California & Main Street.

IMHO, the bathrooms at the 4q are larger than the ones at the fremont. I was always afraid of my toiletries falling into the toilet at the Fremont and once my toothbrush did fall into the toilet (had to go to walgreens to get another one). The counter space in the Fremont bathroom is very small, maybe 5" or 6" wide so you have to watch out. Fremont also has valet only parking so if you have a car you will need a few bucks a day to tip the valet. Some rooms at the Fremont are a little smaller than the ones at the 4q but since you are solo that shouldn't be a problem.

Other than that I think both hotels are comparable for staying at but I feel more comfortable gambling at the Fremont. Somehow I feel more cramped at the 4q tables and I don't like the people running the crap table at the 4q. The Fremont also offers $3 bj and crap tables 24/7. The crap tables at the Fremont have counters - you can win something (t shirt, etc.) if you roll a number of times (I think it was 45 rolls) but it may only be at the $5 tables.

I think some posters recommended the D or GG because they fit more into your age range. The casino is geared more for people your age (meaning loud music, scantily clad and dancing dealers and a long bar) so you might enjoy drinking and playing there more. The atmosphere at the Fremont (and 4q) is more "mellow", no loud music or dancing dealers and the bar area isn't much fun IMHO as at the D or GG. Unfortunately when you add in resort fees it costs a little more to stay at the D or GG while there are no resort fees at the 4q or Fremont. No matter, you can stay at the 4q or Fremont and walk outside to go to the D or GG so not much difference where you stay.

One minute or less between the first three. MSS and CAL are 5 min away.

The Fremont has $5 BJ paying 3/2. Not so at 4Q. Other than that, flip a coin! Good beer at 4Q. Good VP at the bars in 4Q, also.
    Good luck.:beer::beer:

I always stay at the Four Queens because of the no resort fee, plus I only sleep around 2 to 4 hours a day when I'm there. I'm a solo traveler myself. The Chicago Brewpub in the Four Queens is my favorite place to have a few drinks, food and play some VP. The Fremont, GN, and The D are right there when you walk out.

The Fremont always has one $3 craps table going and the Four Queens has one around 4am, the standard is $5 for all games except at the GN. The Four Queens will jack the min to $10 during the weekend peak hours, I always go Sunday to Friday to avoid that.

I love the D because of the dancers but it gets loud at night if you want to focus on your play. I usually get some coffee at the Dunkin Donuts in the Fremont and start my day with craps. Although the last time I was there they pissed me off because I cashed in and watched two rolls to see how the table was going and they wouldn't let me roll, she was really rude about it too "you can't just not bet and wait for your roll". I was pissed because I was losing my ass that week and already dumped over 1k at that table, you'd think they would let one slide.

I love the 4 Queens but I play mostly VP. I love sitting at any of the 3 bars to play but when I want to play BJ, I don't play it at the Queens. I prefer the Golden Gate or the Fremont. I think the rooms are better at the 4 Queens but only in the South Tower.

I've never stayed at the properties you mentioned so I can't comment on them. I was basing my comments more on your age, being solo, and want to drink :)
sounds like you would love to play w/ the dancing dealers at the D and GG.
if you're not spending much time in the room, and the room doesn't matter much to you, pick one then gamble wherever you please.

as for $5 BJ - it's hard to come by at the D. they have raised most of their tables to 10-15. GG has $5 BJ practically around the clock.
and location - I typically stay at the D, GG, or Plaza and have no issues walking the street to the casino of choice. they're all close and sometimes you need that little walk to reset :)

Don't feel bad, in my roaring 20's It all seem like the same place, almost like a circus. I was well into my 30's before I got my marbles straight and could remeber each DT location afterward..

Now it seems way too easy, but then I was blinded by girls and booze for every hour in Vegas.

Do the Boyd properties have a resort fee?
