New to playing and have not redeemed anything yet but headed to Vegas in a couple weeks. Planned this trip before I started playing MyVegas so did not really plan on using any rewards this trip. Plus we will be traveling with others so not sure I want to commit to particular restaurants right now.

Is there any delay between the time you purchase a reward online and you go to redeem it from an mlife desk? Thinking we might decide on something while in Vegas and then I can log in and get the reward.

Second question. My understanding is the you purchase the reward using your mlife number and then go to an mlife desk and they give you some sort of voucher. At that point is it still tied to your mlife number. In short could I get a voucher and then let someone else use it? i.e. if my wife wanted to go to the Mirage secret garden while I gambled there?

You have 90 days after you purchase a restaurant reward to use it.. If you do not use it before 90 days, you lose it. But... you can ask for a refund if you decide against using it and it is before the end of those 90 days. See the FAQ at the top of this section for details on how to contact them.
No, you must show your ID and mLife card which must match the info on the voucher.

Be very careful with this plan. Unless things have changed, you will not be able to redeem for many rewards when you are physically in the Las Vegas area.

Some places are putting the comp right on your m life card now. We got the mirage buffet last trip and the $30 comp was just put on the card. MGM was this way as well. Aria was still a paper voucher.

So you can't buy them if you are in Vegas already? Why would that be? Are you required to print something out to take to the Mlife desk?

It would seem the logic behind it is to prevent locals from getting everything free and then going back to their homes without dropping a dime in the casino. Tourists are more easily convinced to stay and play, at least in their minds.

Yea, something to do with locals.. i don't know if it goes by location, or where it says your FB profile is located.

But yes, you can redeem something, at the desk, the give the voucher to your wife and send her off to Secret Garden, but you physically have to be at Mirage, and present the info to the Mlife desk first.

You can always "buy" more then only redeem what you wanna use.

From what I have heard, you can purchase rewards while in Vegas but the selection is next to nothing.
