I will be staying Downtown for the beginning of the year. I would like to know if anyone has a suggestion for a good reasonable prized spa. I would like to get a massage and maybe a manicure for me and Hubby.

    Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Golden Nugget is the only hotel downtown with a full spa. They offer steam room, sauna, hot tub - all the regular stuff which you'd expect. It is not a large spa, but it is clean and has a nice sitting area with tea and a private dressing area.
I've had massages and facials at this spa. They offer nail and hair services in the salon, which is attached to the spa.
It is cheaper than the spas on the Strip, but not as cheap as an off strip day-spa (which doesn't offer the sauna/steam room usually). A 50 min massage is $135 upwards. A day pass to the facilities (inc. fitness centre) is $20 if not booking a treatment. http://www.goldennugget.com/lasvegas/spa_services.asp

Another option nearby, is Feetish, which is located inside the Emergency Arts building on Fremont East (before El Cortez). It is a day spa and offers treatments only. http://feetishspa.com/
