It seems like teppanyaki restaurants in Vegas are a dying breed. My favorite had to be Mikado at the Mirage, followed up by Shintaro at the Bellagio, but MGM Mirage scrapped them quite a while ago. I haven't tried Mizumi at the Wynn yet, but if Okada, its previous incarnation, was of similar quality, it just doesn't match up to its predecessors. I've also tried Musashi off the strip, but it was ok, not great. Given my lofty standards, does anyone have any recommendations for me? Whether it's on or off the strip doesn't matter too much to me.

Off strip but mashumi. Had a great time there with friends. Very crude humour from the chef though, FYI in case that's not your thing.

A bunch of us tried Lillies at the Nugget last year, and that was pretty good.

We also had the added entertainment of a married couple who were both hammered at around 5pm :drunk:
