Husband and I only visit Vegas every few years. We have only stayed at the Encore and Wynn. I love the rooms but the environment is not really for us. we never gamble there and it is such a walk for us to get to the places we do enjoy (south end) We like NYNY, Bills, Casio Royale. We also enjoy the old town casinos. So far we have been able to get the rate of around 130.00 to 150.00 a night at Enc/Wynn and would really like to stay in that range (no comps since we do not go often) I was looking at MGM tower spa, Grand City View and Executive king. And NYNY ziggaurat suite. All of these are in our price range the last 2 weeks of January. On the websites these rooms do not appear to be as nice as the Enc/Wynn rooms but it is hard to tell on the websites. I do spend a good amount of time in the room as I am taking a break from being full time mom of 4 kids....LOL I really like a nice room and bathroom. Are dates are flexible depending on when we can get the best rates. I would love recommendations.

How about something like Vdara? No casino, easy in and out, but it's still close to everything. My parents (and I) love it there. Great rooms, huge suites. IT's close to everything south strip and mid strip.

    Here's a promo code
    https://reservations.mgmmirage.com/bookingengine.aspx?pid=938&host=promo&show=rates&code=VREXTND2&kbid=1162904&sub=1766036!W!VREXTND2

Lots of date for $84 (for the regular room), we had the City Corner suite when we went, it was beautiful. My parents also stayed in the regular Vdara suite, same thing minus the 270ยบ view.

I'd recommend Trump as well, but that won't give you the walkability you are looking for. These non casino hotels really are a great, different way to do Vegas.

MGM could be a good bet too, as everything is remodeled, but it's not quite as walkable

Are you going strictly on rooms, or does service count too?

The first place that came to my mind as being the most comparable to Wynn room-wise on the South end was THEhotel - Unless that's further South than you had in mind.

Mid-strip, I think Aria or Bellagio are the most comparable to Wynn overall - you might also want to consider Caesars Palace if you can get either the Augustus or Octavius towers [but personally, I consider all of these "mid-strip" and not really "south strip"]

If you're used to Wynn, frankly I think you might be disappointed with MGM - I don't consider the two on the same level unless you're talking Skylofts or The Mansion.

What about the MGM Signature 1 bedroom suite with balcony. Just how far of a walk is it to MGM casino and NYNY? We like the rooms and the price is right even with resort fee.

My sister stay at the Signature every year and loves it.
You get use of all the MGM facilities plus the smaller, quieter pools at the Signature.
There is about a 5 minute walk from the different towers to the moving walkway that connects to the MGM.It then connects to the end of restaurant row at MGM near the stairs to the pool complex.
Overall ten minutes+ to the casino.
Add the walk through the MGM to the bridge to NYNY to that which is probably another ten minutes.

They just did a complete top to bottom renovation of the MGM so maybe it will be worth your while.

OK, down to Signature VS MGM

Signature one bedroom balcony suite vs....... 50.00 more for MGM tower one bedroom suite....... vs. 400.00 more for MGM Grand city view suite.

Between Signature and MGMcity view Online I like both rooms. Does having the casino and strip closer make it worth the extra 400.00?

I do not think by looking online that I like the MGM tower room as much as the Signature (size is smaller and 1 less bathroom) but only 50.00 more so may be worth being closer to casino and strip.

We are going in January. Pools not an issue and I usually do not use the spa. Nice plush relaxing room must be a suite,(I sleep while husband is up watching tv) Drinking, food, and cheep slots are the focus.

I do not get vacations often so I am driving myself crazy!!!!! Thank You for any advice.
