I need to receive a package from Amazon while I am staying in Vegas. My hotel (Ballys) charges $10 for this service which is more than I want to pay, and Amazon doesn't seem to have any lockers in the area. Does anyone know of a place that will receive a package and hold it for me? Is there a fee? Maybe a fedex or postal store or something like that? I will be renting a car at the airport and driving.

    Thanks

That's the FedEx location at Cosmo. They charge nothing for a package under 1 lb. but $10 for 1 - 10 lbs.

UPS Stores charge $10 for up to 10 lbs.

UPS stores are franchised so fees will vary...worth a call to check. Of course, what store you use may depend on what carrier Amazon is using; for example, most FedEx stores will not receive a UPS shipment, and vice versa

I understand being frugal, but wouldn't the convenience of getting the package at your hotel be worth $10?

no, because I could buy what I am receiving at walmart or target if necessary, or perhaps buy it at home and check in luggage. It is a low value item, but somewhat bulky, which is why I was hoping to have it shipped to myself. It sounds like I will just have to do one of those things. No big deal.

Specifically it is a humidifier to use in my hotel room, since I often get congested when trying to sleep in the very dry weather, especially with air conditioning, and even more so if there is a significant level of cigarette smoke in the environment.

    Thanks everyone for your suggestions.

I vote go buy one at walgreens or CVS on the strip. Good luck and have fun!
