We are going to be at MC in a couple of weeks. When staying at TI, my wife loved the view of the mountains we had beyond Wynn and V/P. I was wondering if the rearward view from MC was anything spectacular. We stayed there before and had a view of Aria as it was being built, nothing spectacular. I was wondering if the rearward view from the southwesterly side (NYNY side) was anything to jump up in the middle of the night and scream about?

I stay at the Monte Carlo Often and some rooms on the backside have a pretty good unobstructed view of the mountains. I would just request a mountain view room at check in and I would think they would be able to accomodate you since most requests seem to be for strip view rooms.

George, we stayed on the NW facing side in October and I really enjoyed the Aria/Crystals view. Our view had a bit of the mountains visible. Imagine they will be able to accommodate your request.

I agree with your wife...when staying at Harrahs and Flamingo I want that east view also. I love to watch the sun come up over the mountains. First time at MC coming up...I didn't book a strip view, booked a high floor, hoping for a mountain view rather than an Aria view.

Somewhere I thought I saw a site that showed where certain rooms were positioned within the hotel. We stayed in a Spa Suite before and it was the first room on the wing, where the three wings intersect. I booked a Monaco Suite this time and was wondering where they are within the hotel. Anyone know of such a site?

    Just had that view

Stayed in a Diamond Suite there at halloween. Ours was off the hub of the hotel and faced the rear of NYNY and the interstate. If I remember correctly it was the 29th floor.

There wasn't anything especially inspiring about the view. I probably looked out more at night since I tend to find the expanse of lighted city interesting.

There was an extremely windy day when a cold front blew in and I enjoyed watching the results.

    Finally!

I think you are referring to room77 website. According to that the Strip view center are all Spa Suites with rear view high floors Diamond Suites and rear view low floors Monaco Suites....if their info is correct. I swear I once read of someone in a diamond suite have a strip view, but according to that site...not. I would like to know what floors are smoking...room77 isn't good with that info being correct. The past 4 trips I have booked a smoking suite only to arrive and be told no smoking available.
