    Hey all,

I had Hooters booked for next weekend as it was the cheapest thing in town next weekend, presumably because of the Rock in Rio USA concert.

Since they had a zero-fee cancellation policy, I've been checking other places, and saw today that the Flamingo was down to an average of 37.00/night for Friday-Monday. Even with the taxes and resort fees, quite a bit cheaper than it has been over the last few times I've checked. Easy call to make that switch!

    Figured I'd let everyone know.

    Cheers!

They are dropping at M-Bay as well. Rack rates for this weekend had been at $385 I think.. now at $245. They of course have Bryan Adams on Sat, Neil Diamond on Sunday and Billboard awards at MGM on Sunday.

I'm assuming this is normal as the dates draw closer and they have unbooked rooms. Still, nice to know that I can still get something cheap center strip on such a big weekend.

I should also note that price is with my TR card, and has already gone up 4 dollars since I first posted.

Sounds like there are still tix available for Rock in Rio. And MGM was doing it's best to link it's rooms to the one that were sold.

You must have some sort of casino rate. For a flea like me, Sat. night is $317 when signed into TR, $320 when I'm not. Why bother signing in at that point?

This is what confused me too - earlier this year when I went to check out CET room rates, they were higher when logged in to TR. Yesterday, I tried logging in just for shits and giggles as they say, and that's when I saw the super cheap rate (also at Harrah's, Bally's, Rio, and Linq...).

It's possible that they were holding out for bigger players and now they see they still have a good number of rooms left because bigger gamblers probably care less about Rock in Rio than average.

Rock in Rio is why we also went to Vegas a few weeks ago instead of tomorrow. Rates were decently cheap for awhile for this weekend at linq a few months back ($80ish for Fri./Sat.)., but we were unable to pull the trigger then.
